Brainwashed pubbies used to point to his tv show's ratings as evidence that his positions must be right (even when he mangled facts about the Constitution and the Founding Fathers).

I guess now they point to his radio ratings? or has he been dismissed as not a "true Republican"?

He's not on FOX, so he isn't a TRUE republican.

Kill you with their B.O. maybe. :D

Glenn Beck is a lunatic. I think I've watched 6 minutes of his show in my life. I once saw him playing with Barbie dolls on BOR's show and thought he looked slightly insane.

I don't think Beck is a republican. I think like some other people on TV (Maher for example), he claims to be a libertarian. I could be completely wrong on that though.

The very few times I've seen him, he came across as a type of 9/11 truth movement, tin foil hat conspiracy loving, barbie doll fiddling fool. Kind of like a cult leader or something. That might be totally unfair since I've seen so little of him, but from what I've seen, I think I'm on the money.

In all my 50+ years on this earth, I've never read about a more insane "Conspiracy" theory than the 9-11 "inside-job" nut-cakes.

I wonder how many "occupyers" are 9-11 Truthers?

    Ha!!!

How about the faked moon landings? :)

I would bet a lower % than you'd find at tea party gatherings.

I've seen the signs in some pictures of the crowds. Thing is, there are always fringe people at protests like these. So that there were some signs isn't surprising. You can't let a few people represent everyone.

Who knows Chico...maybe you're right. But why bring up a pubbie group? I'm not a rightie and you're not a leftie, remember?

Because you seemed to be implying that there would be a decent # of "truthers" among the "occupy" protests, and the tea party is the group that is being compared with the occupy protests.

What's interesting to me is what happens to those tea partiers who were not in it to spin it.

You take away the groups that were directly funded by K Street firms like "freedomworks," and you get

    1) Republican base (ultraconservative edition,) and
    2) People that got ultraconservativized in the course of teabagging, and - here's the intersting grouping...

    3) People who came in with raw rage at things like bailouts, and gubmit being hand-in-hand with wall street, and that sort of thing.

    (3) seems to be a natural for jumping ship from tea party to occupying.

I don't think in practice there will be much bleedover, because of the demographics of the groups... early on (when their views would be much less cast in stone,) the tea party gatherings were overwhelmingly middle age and older, whereas there are many more young people in this batch.

Eh well, interesting times, however it all shakes out.

If you weren't implying that, sorry -- misunderstood.
