    Classic....

Don’t judge Beck by his cover | USA WEEKEND Magazine | usaweekend.com

For those on this board who got all snotty that I said if you think polluting the environment doesnt cause harm...I give you my most unexpected advocate...Glenn Freakin Beck:

“You’d be an idiot not to notice the temperature change.”

“He also says there’s a legit case that global warming has, at least in part, been caused by mankind,” writes McCafferty, under the subheadline, “He believes in global warming.”

This doesnt reflect on the science or the political ramifications of climate change...just that Glenn Beck is a flip flopping stroker of whoever is paying him at the present time.

Another reason to not take anything he says, even this, seriously.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Maybe Beck is right, maybe he isn't. The point is we are back to the starting line on anything remotely proving the so-called science because it was all crap.

Beck's done some really good stuff on the Fed, ACORN, Valerie Jarrett and more but his attitude towards the 9/11 families and his attitude towards 9/11 itself makes him( imho anyway), a shill for the very same things as the people he so loudly bashes.

I hate that he got hold of the Tea Party, I hate that he has such a huge following yet chooses not to be truthful; he's as confusing as Obama himself. He's used Ron Paul when it suits him and shunned him for the same reasons. The most despicable part is that Beck has such a HUGE following. He does have some good things to say but...

I've never watched the guy, and don't think I ever will. The guy just seems kinda cheesy to me.

On what grounds are you claiming "it was all crap"?

Because that's a pretty controversial statement to make, and I'm interested in seeing the evidence that forms the basis for your opinion.

The data used to make the case is not any good.

    GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT.

Btw a couple of years ago the warmist published a paper making predictions bsed on the climate models cited by IPCC they predicted less snow for the Northern hemisphere, how's that working out?

I hadn't seen Jack's reply until it was quoted as I have him on ignore - clearly not "all" of it was crap but it was all untrustworthy. Like Elin Woods, even if Tiger never cheated on her again, if you were her would you be able to trust that ? I wouldn't. Same with Climate Change "science".

Ask the Vancouver Olympic organizing committee. Bananas, Strawberries and Lobster are all highly perishable things to ship; but they got nothing on snow.

If you need to see evidence that something is happening here go to Alaska.. specifically Kenai..and check out the recent recession of "Exit" glaciers.. what has happened in the past 50 years is concerning...

There is something happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear..

Alaska has ben warming up since the end of the last ice age and people have had nothing to do with it.

Silly people see things in the context of their lifespan the cycles of our solar system don't care about our timescales, they have their own rhythms and time scales that stretch into the hundred of thousands of years and longer.

The medieval warming period was warmer than what we see now and there was nothing wring. If you want to fear something fear the next ice age.

Will not argue the science, but being a concrete learner what is happening is obvious, the glaciers are receding at an alarming rate.. do not fear the climate as it will not significantly change in my lifetime.

Is "silly people" an ad hominen attack, mr. Mod.. aka.. role model???

Thanks for the lecture, will file it under same old, same old.. or redundant BS.

Some people think that because a set of data are erroneous, then the entire concept of human effect on climate should be disallowed. That "throw the baby out with the bathwater" thinking is particular to close-minded people who only see the world in black and white images, and that's OK with them. Fossil fuel is the best. Health insurance companies are good. Socialism in any form is wrong except for the military, which is always good....Stuff like that.

And there is nothing you can say or do that will make them change their mind...nothing. There are times when that type of thinking is useful, but complex dynamics of scientific modelling is not one of them. Don't get me wrong, though. I've met vegans and tree-huggers who are just as intractable. It's not the side of the aisle that matters. It's the degree of flexibility and scope of understanding.

Very well said, as indicated do not understand all the science.. but do know that recently there has been a significant change in weather patterns.. whether or not this is long term, or just a cycle is yet to be determined..

No but all the "science" should be thrown out because the "science" can't be trusted.

OK, global warming is real, what now?

Does "Bad Old America" have to destroy all the oil wells in the world, do we have to give up our Trucks, should we kill everybody that works for Haliburton, how do we take Al Gore's SUV's away from him, will Joe Dummy Kennedy stop flying around the world in his private jet spreading his carbon sh!t while he tells me to get rid if my wood stove, how do we stop the third world people from sh!tting in the street, who's got the balls to tell China, Russia or India how to live, what killed the Dinosaur's.

The ONLY thing I've heard him say that I agree with is that our gov't is broken. We can't continue to do things the way we have. Which basically means that we can't operate at a constant deficit and continue to increase taxes rather than cut programs.

I agree with that totally and like Beck said..."Anyone who doesn't believe that is an idiot"
