    Good article, and it points out the extent to which the truth is flattened by interested parties to get messages that are politically expedient out. It is shameful, and ignorance and lack of critical thinking perpetuates it.

    Of course, textbooks have been politicized for a long time. Notice how the Native Americans are portrayed as the enemies? I mean, American expansion was a resource grab pure and simple, and it's hardly acknowledged as such.

    He who picks the curriculum controls the world view of the students. Convenient, isn't it?

    Go to college, kids. And when you're done, keep going, and turn off the TV.
