Has anyone else read that book 'Body of Secrets', about the NSA since 1950?

It is insane, after reading it you pretty much cannot trust the government or our intelligence or military again.

There are alien bodies at site 53. I saw them on the National Equirer front page at Walmarts once. So, must be true.

    Right?

A blank check? No, I don't agree. We are plenty powerful enough, but are terribly weak in the political sphere. That's where we have to focus our effort. One of the ways Clinton kept us safe was through diplomacy. We had better contacts throughout the world under Clinton. The military cannot keep us safe from terrorists; they have no single country for us to attack.

The guy turned NYC around Wistah. That's how this country works too. When you're the man in charge, you rise and fall with the results. If we're quick to criticize the boss when things are bad, then we have to give credit when things are good. He's a scummy individual in his personal life, which I have serious problems with, but his job as mayor was impressive. People just don't realize what a sh!thole, and laughing stock NYC was when he took over. The guy deserves credit there, and he deserves credit for his job as a prosecutor prior. His record is very good, and on that alone, he might be the best person in this entire election. The problem is, one's record isn't the only thing that matters. Certainly not to me anyway.

jack, no matter who gets elected in 2008, we'll still be in Afghanistan and Iraq. I hate to break that to you.

I believe, and I could be mistaken here, that the go shopping bit was post 9/11, and not post Iraq in 2003. I could be wrong though.

It was post-9/11, and it makes sense. Not that people should've spent beyond their means, but our economy is a cosumer economy. Reasonable spending by us, the consumers, should help.

I thought it was post 9/11. It was also a message to people to not let terrorism, or terrorists, stop your lives.

I figure we will be in iraq 2012 as well....

I believe your right on the shopping, my error.
Still would have been wise to be fiscally responsible with regards to the money pit that is iraq....
