I would have thought they would have wanted a hooker ... just 1.
I mean they sacrificed 69 of them ... Obama could have paid for just 1 for the 4 of them.

If Bush had been looking for personal political enemies to fill Gitmo he could have filled ten Gitmos from people right in the US of A.

Virtually every one of those perps in Gitmo is an avowed terrorist. Card-carrying. Can't wait to get back into the game.

Were'nt these people held without being charged for seceral years?
Was'nt it determined that they were not a threat to the US?
Let's not leave that part out.
They were wrongly imprisoned by the US, never charged, never given legal counsel, and subsequently released years later.
Talk about rhetoric.

The right's whole game plan is about fear, but I do think many of them are genuinely afraid of foreigners, among others, and that's why they often live in homogeneous areas and own guns.

Dude, every credible voice available -- including his "highness", the Obamarama man -- has said we cannot release virtually ANY of these avowed militant fanatics because they've all said, with pride!!, that they are determined to destroy America and the West.

'nuff said.

"Fear" is a perfectly healthy and normal response when one feels threatened. When public schools are ramming sex ed down our children's throats as soon as they enter the school system, and more and more these children are being forced to hear about "Heather has Two Mommies", or "Daddy has a Room Mate", then people naturally recoil. That's why each year more parents send their children to private schools or home school them.

By the same token, when openly avowed haters of America and the West are promising to "destroy America", then it is perfectly natural and normal for people to have some kind of reservations born of the "fear" of total destruction. Duh. People don't work their entire lives to create something beautiful only to see it destroyed. To expect otherwise is delusional.

No, but YOU are babbling out your sphincter now.

Show me one video or link to any credible source saying that Gitmo does NOT house known avowed hostiles toward America.

I'll wait.

Wow, one retired colonel -- wonder who HE voted for  Who did Colin Powell, the guy he followed, vote for??

So, what is "many"??? Five, ten, twenty ???

And if there are so "many" undeserving prisoners at Gitmo, why hasn't the Messiah from Chicago released them?? He has the power. Why hasn't he used it???

Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm not doing your homework for you. You are obviously not informed on this issue. I posted one great example for you -- a Republican, a Bush official, a Fox News story. It's up to you to do your own homework.

As far as Obama not releasing them, again you are showing your lack of awareness. The first link points to a story that got a good deal of attention in the media:

Guantanamo Bay Prisoner Released
U.S. to Release Prisoner From Guantanamo Bay - WSJ.com

Innocent people are being released, but quite naturally the Obama administration is exercising caution.

Yeah, he's releasing a very few (because that's all there are of truly non-threatening types there in Gitmo), and then he's sending them Club Carib!!! On the tax-payers' dime!! Hello??!! That's what people are upset about!!!

:woohoo: ............. ANYBODY HOME??!!

And in other breaking news three of them took a dump behind closed doors and two showered privately... they are innocent, usually what happens is after someone is imprisoned wrongly there is some type of cash settlement in an effort to redress the wrongs...

Just because someone does not like or hate america, it is not just cause to lock them up.. if that were the case about 10% of America would be behind high walls..

Always find it interesting in your quest for political correctness and probably acceptability that you deny the basic tenets of social justice that seem germaine to most religions.. the Uighars are a repressed religious minority who have been prosecuted by the Chinese.. while you wanted us to all support Leesa when she was detained illegally by one of the 'stans.. but in this case they are bad, because they are muslim.. there is no reason to detain them.

Seriously, not trying to be offensive, are you really so dumb, or are you just going for an effect???

".... because they are muslim" ????

Where did you read that, at the Aryan Brotherhood convention you attended last weekend????

The operative term in all of this discussion is -- and ALWAYS has been, afaiac -- the avowed radical militant who openly pledges eternal fatwah for the destruction of America and the West. But I think you already knew that and you're just messing around here.

You are offensive.. so time to move on, the reality is like it or not there was no reason for continued detention as determined by the courts.. and they had to be released.

You continue your hypocritical diatribe, when convenient you seek support for Leesa and all things Uni.. but because the Uighars do not love this country.. they should be locked up for a longer period of time. You do not understand social justice, never have and never will..
