    1-I'm selling my house ($980,000.00)
2-My Grandaughter is married to a Black Guy
3-My Grandaughters Father In Law Wants To Buy The House
4-The only Black People that my neighbors have ever seen are on TV and Pictures of Obama

5-I will accept his offer and sell to him if he likes the place he has already agreed to the price.

    6-WHAT WOULD YOU ALL DO-------------

YOU WILL PROBABLY SEE ME ON TV THEN YOU WILL ALL KNOW WHO I REALLY AM

THIS IS THE TRUTH--SO HELP ME GOD

Very mysterious Harry. Why wouldn't you sell it to him? Surely, he must know about the neighborhood already. If your neighbors are right-wing bigots, you might want to tell the guy for the sake of family unity.

Also, where are you going to move?

    What would I do?

If I love my granddaughter, I would not sell the house.

I don’t think the neighbors are bigots they might be in the closet though there are a lot of phonies out there, I know a lot of Left Wing Democrats in Cambridge who still find ways around Renting to Minoritys.

I am going down to NH, one of my sons has a big house down there with a five room Apt attached he has ten acres so I’ll still be able to Climb a Tree when I get drunk, I’m worried about my Neighbors Wife nobody around here will have sex with her but me maybe I can get my granddaughters father in law interested in her, he’s partially blind, I’m giving him my Horse too, I wish I could be here when the neighbors first see him riding up the road on a Horse…….:singing:

I don't know if i' sell it to your granddaughters father in-law, anything can happed. Your Granddaughter yes. What (God forbid) if something happened between your granddaughter and her husband its not like see would not have any claim to the house.

As far as the neighbors it was going to happen eventually If you allowing the first black family to move in is all you worried about, don't woory about it.

And DON'T be going anywhere soon!!!!!!

I have been getting ready to sell anyway it's time and these are good people nobody else in the family seems interested they are all scattered doing their own thing we all get together here once a year and raise hell but we can still do that anywhere and of course the money will let my wife and I live comfortably and I won't be a burden on anybody, it's not a done deal yet though, another reason I like this guy, when I play my banjo you should see the bastard Tap Dance, if I can get him drunk enough he gets up on the picnic table and goes crazy.

It sounds like your hesitant to let go, i don't know how long you have lived there but i would be nervous. To me the house would represent security, something i know and are familiar with. Selling it and moving in with your son is an unknown. Again it sounds like your afraid to take the plunge. Thats pretty much the only obsticle, if you do it it will take a while to get use not being in YOUR house etc.

Why don't you do something conditional for your grandaughter... give it to her, with some kind of contract that it anything ever happens to her marriage it is not common property.. then have her pay some kind of monthly stipend to you and your wife... not sure about the legalities, but the house would go where you want it to go and still provide some income.

My daughter and I were just talking about this a few minutes ago, I have only been living here for about five years, it was passed down to me from my aunt but I have been coming here all my life, got a lot of thinking to do, if we do go it won't be until next Spring......

My wife has been talking about those things, I had the house up for sale anyway before my grandaughter mentioned anything and they have agreed to the selling price, I have awhile to figure it all out though, I always thought I was going to be '30' forever I never thought much about all this "Old Age Crap"

You mentioned before that the house is bound for your granddaughter through inheritance...anyway you can get an agreement that she can keep it in a divorce after her father in law passes? That way it guarantees it stays in your family at some point in the future...

My best advice: call Dave Ramsey.

Sounds like you should sit tight for a couple of more years, though I'd love to welcome you to the Granite State, Harry.

The time goes by too fast.

    Move to Wistah, Harry!

I'll take you to Cambridge once in a while and we can drink at the VFW or the Irish American Malden Club.

We'll have a blast! Can you run a backhoe?
