This is what I mean when I say that, whenever something goes on in the world, everyone cries to the U.S. for help. Then, when we intervene, we're doing it all wrong. Read this quote...

That, of course, is from CNN. Can anyone please explain to me why we should have to intervene in this situation or why we are "partially at fault"? Pretty ridiculous statement if you ask me.

I would actually agree in part, since Bush found it necessary to kiss up to Putin. He definitely had to be diplmatic, but I recall him going overboard. Putin is bad news.

Britain and the U.S. are providing arms and training to Georgia, British intelligence also recently expressed concern over a conflict in the region so it's not as if the west have just stood by and failed to latch on to Russian intentions. It wasn't long ago British fighters had to scramble and intercept Russian bombers approaching our airspace, every man and his dog knows Putin and his puppet are trying to flex Russian muscle again but what exactly does Georgia want? Unless directly affected your hardly likely to send forces in at this moment.

Setting expectations is important we/nato did a bad job, this is independent of the issue of Putin being a kgb scumbag.
