What a surprise.
you've really gotta love the 'nothing-to-see-here' positive spin the Bush administration puts on everything... even the aspects that Pubbies harp on as Boy King's clearest "undeniable" successes, like his "work" on the economy...
OK . . . in the past 4 years, 8.2 Million jobs have been created. But I guess a 4,000 loss overides that.
Here's another way of looking at it:
and another way:
Also, you left out the fact that our population grows by about 1% per year, so those 8 million new jobs you talk about do not keep up with that.

First, that's a typically disingenuous response given that those graphs are 3 and 4 years old.
Second, how is the unemployment rate at historic lows ?
Third, many of the jobs created are small businesses which are typically slow to get into the jobs report.
And to mikey, more disingenuous crap - since when is a job loss in a month a recession ? Do you know what a recession is ? Or are you just spouting off words to make Bush look bad even though you're lying ?
I tried to factor that in by pointing out that job creation has not quite kept pace with population growth. I think that means the chart would still show negative growth during Bush's term, but less than is displayed.
I don't think it is at historic lows, though it's possible we had a month like that. I suppose the answer is that a sizable number of people are no longer collecting unemployment insurance but are still unemployed. The other possibility is that unemployment, like the Bush economy has been erratic (and he's had a few good months), but his overall record remains poor. This chart is not current, but it is from the conservative Heritage Foundation:
Here's another look, from a different site, but more current:
So, you think the employment situation is improving and we'll see that in a few months?
Some of you people are funny.
