So it is wrong for any pictures to be taken in any of our "holding facilities" for the children from south of the border because they need their privacy and should not be used for political purposes. But of course these pictures are just fine.

Yeah, we all know if the world were allowed to see the condition these SA children were in, with some of them coughing up blood from advanced TB, it would not be a good thing for Obama.

That's a very good point Hamar....but we only support rules that support our agenda.

Things we all know for certain:
    • Hamas does not recognize Israel
    • Hamas was voted in by the Palestinians
    • Hamas use the same Palestinians as human shields
    • Israel will always retaliate with a heavy hand
    • Palestinians will suffer the brunt of the casualties
    • US will always back Israel
The root of the problem is that Palestinians elected a group whose main purpose is to destroy Israel to represent them. This will never end until the Palestinians decide to change who they want to represent them in their fight for independence.

The reality is that the scenario you show here is more likely to happen in Texas than in these holding facilities..as the rates of immunization are lower in Texas than they are in Honduras. The threat of disease is wildly overstated....

Exactly. Not to mention that Hamas wants to create an Islamic state based on Sharia Law

I think it's pretty clear that when you keep a population in a state of deprivation they're going to be more sympathetic to radicalism.

Radicalism was the root of the problem. It sucks that they lost to the Jordanians and to Israel in '67 and '73.

The problem with your statement is that the Palestinians had it better under Israeli occupation than they did Jordanian/Egyptian occupation until the First Intifada in the late 1980s. They had the ability to work in Israel and were more or less becoming increasingly integrated into Israeli society (which could be perceived as a problem vis-a-vis Palestinian national aspirations, I suppose).

Each time the Palestinians have been given a path to nationhood, they've turned it down in favor of war. You cannot dispute this fact; 1948 and 2000 are the most salient examples. The Palestinians put their trust in radical leadership and reap the benefits of rampant corruption, street crime, and endless war.

Sure I can sympathize with they're situation and understand why they're choosing to back Hamas. But the reality is that Hamas has gotten a lot civilians killed and will continue to do so with their current strategy. Will this give them leverage on the bargaining table? I really don't see it. In fact, it hurts the Palestinian's cause.

Very interesting it seems some Israel Reservists are anti semitic or have been influenced by Code Pink... glad to see some are thinking over there.

You mean in NYC? That's where the author is living now. I wonder how many other of these 50 deserters actually still live in Israel.

There were actually more deserters during the 2006 war against Hezbollah. So far, the Hamas narrative has failed to gain the kind of traction it did in the past.
