Pats at LSU

The Louisiana State football team is holding its spring game today, and the Tigers have "recruited" some honorary coaches.

According to the Times-Picayune of New Orleans, former LSU players and current Patriots players Kevin Faulk, Randall Gay, Marquise Hill and Eric Alexander will serve as coaches of the Purple team.

The coaches for the White team are former LSU players and current Indianapolis Colts players Joseph Addai and Anthony "Booger" McFarland

DAVID THOMAS IN FOCUS: Second-year tight end David Thomas cut his offseason short to begin his training early. He talks about that decision, and building off the momentum of last season, in this piece from Saturday's Boston Globe.

Marquise Hill? Tell that guy to focus on teaching himself, he's a piece of trash.

I think David Thomas is going to develop into a very special TE.

question for you who would hill replace seymour? no warren? no wilfork? no green? no wright? no my point is he is stuck behind some great and good players and he is cheap insurance if one of them gets injured, they would not keep him if he didnt show promise

I think David Thomas is going to develop into a very special TE.

I agree. He's had some flashes of brilliance and with this year's additions (and one subtraction) he should really come into his own. Coming in early just solidifies that perception-great work ethic, commitment to improving, and humble enough to take Rodney's advice.

you cant coach if u cant learn. get Marquise out of there

Oh please, not again...

Its true though. He should be cut because the one play I saw him in this season(even though he was in a lot) he got a neutral zone infraction.

Who are you to question if Hill can "learn" or not?

either he cant learn or he just sucks badly at football. you choose

The only thing we can conclude at this point is that Richard Seymour and Ty Warren are excellent football players.

and Jarvis Green and Mike Wright are excellent too..they play a lot more than Hill

And they have different skillsets and play different positions.

they are all DEs. Wright was a DE before being a backup NT.

Wright is a NT who can fill in at DE. Green is a pass-rushing DL.

Hill is a run-stopping DE. (see: Seymour, Warren)

you mean to tell me he cant even get in the rotation? Run stopper my ass..Ron DAyne and Travis Henry ran all over him when he got into the game

There's only 2 active backup DLs on gamedays - Wright (NT) and Green (DE). Since Hill isn't a NT nor a pass-rushing DE like Green, how can he be active?

I haven't done the Texans or Titans game yet, but here's the 2nd-4th quarters of the Jets game, where supposedly Seymour was "out" and Hill had his chance...
