3 RDE's in our system. Seymour, Hill, Cunningham. Only Seymour in the first.

No DE's that translate to our OLB's. None. Zip. Zero.

Notice how many DB's? We all joke about TE's but check out the DB's taken at the top of the draft. That is because so much is predicated on them in this scheme....

So next off season, when we gather to oggle prospects for the draft (if there is one), Unless BB has a top 10, maybe top 5 pick, dont get all excited about the next OLB for our system...you will save yourself a lot of misery.

Cunningham is an OLB...

I remember I said the same thing before......but they actually have him listed as a DE :confused::confused:

Let me know when he's listed at 300 lbs.

We might use 260 lb defensive ends in packages. Usually it's temporary, or they are in process of converting to OLB.

Probably every single Pats OLB in this era was a DE in college, so that means zilch.

In the period (roughly) you're looking at the team had both quality and depth at OLB, so why is it comforting that they didn't draft there? McGinist was a fixture there, just like Phifer and Vrabel on the other side during the same period. There was no need, so why would they draft players in that position?
Personally I would have really liked to have seen a DT/DE at #17, a RB at #28 (Ingram) and a LB at #33.

I guess we'll see how it plays out in about 4 months (is that long....sigh)

It's 4 months if all goes well.
