HUH??? Not any more....and I think that is NOT true..Greg Spires won a DB in Tampa...although that is ancient history...but Spires was let go..

the one in my opinion will have that opportunity is C.Fauria.

WAS could be a play-off team in the NFC...

difficult for Givens @ Ten, or Willie @ Cle
or Davis @ Buf

You are right forgot about him
but was he cut not a free agent?

I am not sure...maybe a FA...it was a long time ago...actually I think FA..

Rodney Bailey went to the Super Bowl as a Seahawk.

While Patten was on IR, his team, the Redskins, did win a playoff game last year.

bailey on the move again signed with pitt

So he went back to the team that drafted him. Funny how that works out.

That is a very interesting observation pats60. Spires notwithstanding (he was a spare part at best with the Pats), since Patten was on IR, all those big names (under the BB reign) Law, Milloy, Bledsoe, Andruzzi, Woody, certainly didn't step into success with other teams. And their departure didn't ruin the Pats either, despite one prediction after the other of imminent collapse upon their leavings.

I've already said it on another thread - Givens will publicly admit he misses the winning environment in Foxboro long before his contract with the Titans expires, for they are doomed to mediocrity due to the transition away from McNair and because of having to play in the Colts division. DG will be lucky if he ever sees the playoffs again. I hope someone asks him years from now if the $4-5mil difference over five was really worth giving up the chance to play on a winning team.

I think that statement is correct.
Spires was cut during training camp, he did not make the team.
Same with Bailey.

I didnt check it out, I assume the original poster had facts, but if those are the only 2 discrepancies, then it is absolultely correct that no player BB allowed to leave as a FA has won a playoff game. A guy who is retained and fails to make the cutdown would not count.

I did check it out and he was cut...Same with Bailey...For some reason I thought he was a FA and signed..but I wasn't sure..I think Felger had mentioned that Spires was the only one..a few years ago..but??? Some of the time he is totally wrong.... My bad..so in fact...that is even MORE remarkable!!
