Right now I'm thinking that Monday, July 31 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. is a wicked pissah time to make the 160 mile jaunt. Not crowded. First & 2nd teams would be starting to solidify and the buzz would be hot on who's good and who's not.

See you there.

Need some advise. I'm about 2 1/2 hours from the stadium. Coming down from Southern Maine how is the traffic on 128 or 495 in the morning?

I would probably leave about 6 AM which would put me on 495 about 7 or 128 around 7:30. Once I get on either, which is the worst to make it to Foxboro that time of the morning. Looking at possible 8/8 which is a Tues.

The traffic on 128 at 7:30 is usually horrible especially as you head toward the 93 off-ramp. It is a little better in the summer.

495 is your better bet, and a more direct route to Foxboro.

Ive had season tix for years and Ive never been to that "Season Ticket Holder Only" practice. I usually just throw them away or dump them. Is it worth going to or not really?

495 gets clogged at a few locations in the morning. Coming from Maine, you will hit traffic it the intersection of I-93, at the Lowell Connector, and at Rte 2. You may see a little congestion around 290/rte 20/rte 9 because they are so close together. Despite that, if I had to choose, I would say to take 495.

It's exactly the same routine as the day practices except that its cooler in the evening and you get to sit (free for all seating) in the stadium and watch. Lots of high priced food and drink being sold. There's a bit of loud speaker announcer commentary.

If you like going to training camp like I do, it's a nice variation.

I drive both ways from Seacoast NH. Theoretically the shortest distance is 95S to 128S to 93S thru Boston and then 1S to the stadium. NFW except on Sunday game day when it works out well.

495 is the best of a bad lot. Better than 128S to 1S.

sound as if a helecopter will be my best option.:D
