Here is one possibility. He is ticked off at Kraft.
Why? maybe because Kraft didn't let him spend the way he wanted
and now he sees his team struggling as a result and there's 6+M
in Krafts pocket as of today.
Suppose the field condition was not Belichick's doing but Kraft's
refusing not to do what was necessary.
Belichick if he was ticked because the owner was cutting corners at
the expense of player saftey and team needs ... he might walk just
to express his displeasure.

On the other hand .... I can't see BB wanting to leave the Patriots.
... even if he had a issue with Kraft.

Wow, not just stretching but making things up. You sound like Stephen Glass while writing for the New Republic!

Did you hear? BB has just listed himself as out for tomorrow's game, joining CJ and LoMo. Tomorrow is gonna suck.

:D Love it - note to self - don't sip the beer while reading posts.

Yeah, but what was his BODY LANGUAGE ?

Really people, haven't we learned anything in seven years ? Or at least in the last seven weeks ?

Please.

What the H are you smoking? Kraft and BB have one of THE best HC-owner relationships in all of sports. This is BEYOND silly.

They signed an agreement a while ago. The lenght and terms were not made public but Billichick is signed.

Oh Please, we all know Bill is mad because of the new hotdogs introduced at the Razor, he doesn't like them and would prefer to eat sausages instead:p

On a more serious note, all this talk about the Kraft family being cheap is starting to get old and sounds of something that starts with Anti.....

1. Bought team with own money and kept team from moving(what a cheap baaastard)

2. Built and financed stadium with his own money(even bigger cheap baastard)

3. Have always spent to the the cap limit every year except this one (cheap, cheap, cheap)

Why can't we have an owner like Dan Snyder;)

this thread and topic are ******ed, belichick is not leaving

No he is not leaving, but it remains to be seen if there is a new contract signed, and neither a confirm or denial will keep theses thread curious for a few weeks..

OK here is my question....why is this post "******ed", "stupid" or "shameful?

What I did was simply post some comments from articles printed on AOL and a local newspaper. I did not say I believed them when I offered my opinion, actually I feel BB is here for a very long time.

BUT - Should we just not even bother to post, read or discuss such topics because certain people in here think it not worthy or relevant?

Why didn't he just come and say he is sticking around??

From a Small article by Michael Smith.....he thinks BB will be here but...who knows.

"But when he was asked about his contract yesterday, his response was, "The press conference is over. We're done." This is an important one to keep an eye on."

FWIW - I think he has a perfect situation here, he has total control, has family here, has a house in Nantucket. I would think the Kraft's will pay him what he is worth and deserves. Also, going to Houston would surprise me because Kraft is close to their owner.

He must be leaving. Why else would he let Rod Rust coach today's effort vs. the Dolphins?
