Nothing much going on here, just wanted to remind everyone of this guy named Tyrone McKenzie who will be around in the spring. Not a name that has been heard too often since this past May, so I figured I would get PatsFans reacquainted.

Salivating.

Him and Brandon Tate next year.

Wouldn't count on Tate, though. Reiss has mentioned in one or two of his mailbags that he's heard Tate's injury may be serious, as in another torn ligament. He suffered that in October, so he could be headed to the PUP for next season. We'll see.

Funny, I was just thinking about McKenzie. He was supposedly having a good camp before the knee injury. I am curious as to how much he would be playing if healthy.

He and Tate will be like 2 extra draft picks next year. This team is setting itself up to be loaded for the next 5 years or so.

Don't forget Shawn "not able" Crable

Has any player in NFL History started on IR 3 consecutive seasons beginning from his rookie year?

From the looks of things Crable could be one of those guys made of thin glass.

IR spells CUT if it happens again

Tate should have been a 'redshirt' last season. Now, it's quite possible that he'll miss another training camp and be 2 full years behind in attempting to make it in the NFL.

I was going to add some Terrence Wheatley pictures as well, but then I realized they all included an opposing receiver running with the ball.

But here's one of Brandon Tate:

Reiss did say that but the Patriots don't generally hide surgeries when a guy has been IRed. They may have decided that a fully torn MCL would put him back far enough to not bother with him until next year. I have no way to know it wasn't an ACL but he'd have had surgery for sure by now and I think we would have heard about it.

In Reiss' guess, he speculated it was the other knee. Even if it was another ACL (which Reiss has never said, he just said ligament), it's not reasonable to infer that he wasn't ready to be back especially if it turns out to be the other knee.

Tom Brady's situation was classified higher than most military secrets.

Unfortunately, according to the Hardy Boys, Tyrone Mckenzie is now a suspect. He keeps making enemies by the second..

The status of the rehab but the Patriots didn't keep any secret about him having a torn ACL nor when he had surgery. They just didn't talk about his rehab.

I hope he fully recovers shows us what he can do.

That being said, we need to draft some more LBs. Guyton hasn't developed like we all thought he would. He is a liability against the run. AD might be gone. Seau is a short term fix and Crable may never see the field for us.

Looking into the next 3 or 4 years, only Mayo and Tully, based on thier play this year, have solidified two of the four LB positions. Tully IMO has improved his play against the run, is good against the pass, and can be counted on consistently.

So that leaves one ILB and one OLB spots that need to be solidified. We have two guys in McKenzie and Crable coming off injuries, Guyton needs to improve against the run, AD is probably gone, Burgess has yet to prove himself as a permanent solution, and Seau is a short term fix.

I can see the Pats bringing in some veteran FAs and drafting a LB or two.

Why isn't it? One of the problems involved in rehab is the tendency for other areas to get injured because of overcompensation and strength discrepancies. A way to avoid that is to allow for a complete rehab which gives the person time to regain faith in the injured body part and even out the body with regards to functional strength, functional flexibility and muscle memory.

Just think of Crable and McKenzie as being on a very very very delayed blitz. They'll be here eventually. :)

You really should go back and re-check. You'll find that they weren't forthcoming about what was wrong with the knee.

What are your thoughts on Pierre Woods? He's an RFA, but I don't see him coming back. By now we know he's not a starter, and in fact has been mainly a special teamer this season.

Forget all these guys you all mentioned

Adam Seward is an available FA - he is all we need :)
