Thanks for putting this together again, Ian. Just have a comment on the Mehta article.

Manish Mehta has an interesting column this morning and is calling the Patriots “petty” as the NFL investigates the tampering charges surrounding the Jets and Darrelle Revis. According to Mehta, the league sent an investigator to the Jets facility in Florham Park, N.J., on Sunday, March 8, during the three-day “legal tampering” window before the official start of free agency to interrogate general manager Mike Maccagnan and front office personnel about the pursuit of Revis. Mehta also makes reference to SpyGate and DeflateGate (which as we’ve learned is seemingly a manufactured investigation about something the Patriots had nothing to do with but are now branded with thanks to the investigation) when discussing the Patriots and integrity. Ridiculous. He also goes back over the timeline about how Revis landed in Foxboro to begin with and backhandedly accuses the Patriots of tampering themselves with the Buccaneers. - See more at: http://www.patsfans.com/ian/blog/20...ly-news-insinuates-pats-tampering-more-notes/

When I was a regular on JI, a lot of Jet fans used to complain about Mehta, accusing him of using half truths, and spinning facts out of context. Well this article shows Mehta EXACTLY in that light.

1. First of all the league didn't JUST investigate the Jets as he implied, they also looked at the Eagles and Dolphins.

2. He fails to mention that he tweeted the exact details of the Revis contract days before it came to light. So I have to wonder why Mehta isn't part of that investigation, because either someone in the Jets organization was feeding him contract negotiations concerning a player still under contract to another team, or he's psychic and should be selling lottery numbers for a living.

3. He uses "deflategate" and cameraplacementgate" as deflections

4. His attempt to say the Pats were doing the same thing to the Bucks last season, is simply factually inaccurate and he KNOWS it.

Mehta is another one of those mediots who survive because they have one or two "sources" within the Jets organization, and is willing to whore himself out when the call him up to do a puff piece that puts the organization in a good light.

I'm only sorry you gave the link to this story that might elevate it to something worthy to actually read.

The Jets and the NY media manufactured a scandal out of Spygate. Other coaches in the League admitted they did similar things calling it nothing; and the Jets themselves were caught doing the same that year. Still the manufactured scandal cost the Pats a First Round Draft choice, and an enormous fine to the organization and another to Belechick himself.

The lost First Round draft pick may have cost them a Superbowl victory too, and/or another SB appearance. Who knows?

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Screw them to the wall!!!

NY media are world class hypocrites, no surprise there. As noted the Jets took absolutely nothing, a camera placed in the same place they placed one in Foxborough in the playoffs the year before, and they turned it into a major scandal. Now when the Jets commit the worst tampering the NFL has ever seen they are crying foul and pretending it's nothing. There is only one proper outcome and that is the Jets first round pick in this draft.

SUCK THAT MEHTA, AND SUCK THAT JETFANS.
