Bring all the French Muslims to America, the Democrats will protect them in return for their vote, the Democrats will even let them "Stone Their Wives" for speaking to The Mailman.

Why shouldn't Muslims be protected? You've heard of freedom of religion and the Constitution, right?

You're confused again. It's the Republicans who push for laws based on religious beliefs.

Imagine if this were passed in the US. I'm really kinda surprised by this. I'm curious what happened in France that brought this about. I know they have some real issues demographically, and socially, with the influx of muslims in that country. It's an example of why immigration has to be controlled and regulated. Their problem though, and not mine.

Alrighty then, so if you are ok with public religious displays then we can put the creches back up on the town greens now, right?

In any event, France is not under the U.S. Constitution. I seriously doubt something like this could be passed in the U.S.

It may surprise you to know that I'm not in charge of any creches or town greens.

That said, I have no problem with Christmas displays. I think they're a nice tradition and festive and lend to a community feel. Of course, I think other religions and even us atheists should have equal access.

But how is that issue at all relevant? There are no laws against private religious displays here. Were people in France draping government buildings in burqas? ;)

Anyway, you're right that it couldn't happen here, precisely because of our Constitution -- even if folks like Harry don't like it (the US Constitution).

I don't mind it one bit as long as there is no favoritism or bending the rules such as "Scarf OK" "Cross No Good"

No, you don't like it because you don't care about individual rights. You've made that clear in several threads here.

As for scarves and crosses, has wearing crosses been made a crime? More of the Christian persecution complex...

It seems that way to you because you have a selective memory and only pay attention to Breitbart and Drudge. Plenty of Muslims have spoken out against the extremists -- nit that they have any obligation to do so.
