The most biased article I have ever read. Seriously, Vic Ketchman can go kick rocks, pound sand, cry in a corner. Whatever, this guy needs to get over it! Do you ever see these crap articles on the Pats websites or Mike Reiss on Boston.com? I really like Reiss because he is totally unbiased and always gives credit to the other teams unlike crybaby Ketchman.

“I thought we should’ve had the ball back,†safety Deon Grant said. “When the dude hit his arm, it was already forward.â€

A trend that really irratates me with NFL players, most players don't even know their opponents by name, they either call them by number or dude. That's what makes the differnce between teams like the Pats, Colts, Chargers, Ravens to teams like Bengals, Jaguars and others pretenders. They make an effort to actually study their opponents and get familiar with them instead of half assing it and just remembering their number.

    What a whiner.

The vaunted VIC should be asking himself why Jacksonville didn't make any multitude of plays today that could have saved the Jags' season. Or last week against Tennessee, who racked up all of 98 yards of total offense, but still managed to win. Or in two losses against the 4-11 Houston Texans.

But, he puts it all on the officials like they screwed Jax. Way to be accountable, CHUMP.

You want to know what getting screwed is? Asante Samuel being flagged for pass interference in the playoffs last January is just one example. Bad calls are a part of the game...but dedicating an entire column (whinefest) to how the Jags got hosed on one call...pretty disgraceful.

Time for Vic to man up and try to answer some more important questions as they relate to his team:

    1. Why do they blow so badly on the road?
    2. Why did they give up three defensive TDs to the Titans last week, when Vince Young had the most pitiful outing of his young (get it?) career?
    3. Where was the vaunted Jags' D when Laurence Maroney blasted through them for the decisive score in the 4th quarter?

Life is tough. I was furious with some of the calls in last January's playoff loss to the Broncos. But, at the end of the day, nobody cares.

The Jags' season didn't have to come down to that one "blown" call. Shame on Jack Del Rio and his players for letting it come to that.

    From Reiss:
You talked a good game on the field Paul, no need to talk afterwards as the result was determined when you were jacking your jaw and getting knocked on your backside.

I really hope that the Jags make the playoffs and they have to come to NE.

I would like to see Ingram get very severely cheap shotted after his on Brady. I agree that it would be nice to see them come north for a game. Would be incredible fun for them to lose on a Brady tuck rule call. Those officials sucked but did not determine the outcome of the game.

I couldn't see the game, so I cannot comment on the officiating on that play, per se. But what I can say is that in all the many years I have watched the game on TV and in person, the officiating is always done as impartially as humanly possible. Do mistakes occur?? Sure they do. Every team gets questionable calls against them; they also get questionable calls FOR them. It all evens out in the wash over time.

I cannot think of a single team that has ever expired due to poor officiating, nor can I remember a single team get hoisted too high above what they deserved due to bad officiating that went in their favor. Good teams do what they need to do to get the job done -- including overcoming blown officiating calls; lesser teams do not.

There, I feel much better now. Merry Christmas, everyone!!

    Pure Comedy

He even thinks it could be a "tuck" rule.

Idiot doesn't even know what the tuck rule is.

The tuck rule is when the argument is over whether forward motion has completed.

The argument yesterday was over whether forward motion had begun.

And quite frankly, there was no way that call was going to get overturned on that replay. There was nothing in that replay to indicate he started forward motion.

And it didn't apear that his arm ever started moving forward until after Green hit his arm.

These guys need to get a clue. There was nothing controversial about that.

    One other note,

On last night's blitz, Berman and Jackson had 1 beef with the officiating. They thought the call on Seymour was BS.

And they both agreed Garard fumbled!

Sorry Jags, not near as close or controversial a call as you are trying to make it out.

I also thought the call on the Jags for roughing was also BS, but the point on that was that the ball had been thrown, the defender knew this and decided after the fact to give Brady a forearm shot to the chest.

It was a weak shot, I wouldn't have flagged it. But atleast with Seymour there was the legit argument that he was already in motion and trying to pull back. The Jag defender decided after the fact to throw a shot.

Its impossible for me to sit here and say that I am an unbiased observer of the Gerrard fumble. But from what I saw, I think the only reason his arm was going forward was because Jarvis Green was knocking it forward. However, I expected them to give the Jags the ball back.

The other 2 thoughts that I had on that play was 1. Gerrard was never intending to throw the ball. He was just raising his arm to fake a pass and maybe get a defender to momentarily freeze and allow himself to gain a few more yards... The 2nd thought is, was he past the line of scrimmage or not when he fumbled? I thought he was awfully close to it at the time.

The Pats imposed their will on the Jags with the ball -control offence,it was great to watch. They are a good team, the whining of a few (and I agree on the cheap shot, that guy lead with his helmet) dosnt take that away,it was a great win against a good team.(And that was a fumble, plain and simple, when I saw it ,I was sure it would not be overturned).

Oh sh##!! Now we are considered "America's team"? Come on Fred....don't embarrass yourself. Actually this writer ought to be ashamed of himself....Pathetic........During several reviews of this play that I saw, it appeared in EVERY one that Green MOVED his arm forward by crushing him......He had no target in sight to throw to.....and just ran out of time to get rid of it.....In the Brady situation...(ad nauseum) He DOES have a receiver right in front of him......and his arm WAS going forward prior to the hit by Woodson......Apples and oranges....one mans opinion........

beyond that, the thomas touchdown was clean. clearly. the ball didn't move. where does del rio get off making that statement? that was just a great catch, and he clearly had his arm under the ball. there were no replays that showed the ball moving. disingenuous and poor sportsmanship, jack.
