Are more likely to be uninformed about current events than people who don't watch news shows at all.

I thought New York New York was the town so nice they named it twice.

In any event, among New Jersey residents, Fox news makes you stupid. It's not like they compared New Jersey to the nation at large (and frankly, given all the rectangular states, I would guess NJ to be above the average.) They compared apples to apples, and fox made you stupid in Jersey.

Fox also evidently made you stupid in Maryland in an earlier poll, though I do not know whether that was only of Marylanders.

If you want to spin away at that poll too, knock yourself out. Just looks like Fox makes you stoopit to me.

The poll is so obviously flawed in so many ways, but I'm not surprised neither of the forums Virginians can see that.

If you watch Fox News it is obvious that they try to control the message, by repeating the same message over and over again in many different ways..

Even if it is not true, retractions sometimes occur in a miniscule manner.

Fox is on top every month, drives the Democrat Obama Media Insane, so they go to some Loon Infested Area and take a poll then they make believe "FOX Is Bad" I'm surprised they didn't take their little sh!tty poll in Frisco or Cambridge.

    The Democrat Media.
They still keep telling us how great Jug Ears is while the Country is falling down all around them, America is in big trouble.

    From the poll itself...
    >>>>>>New Jerseyans are not necessarily more likely to be knowledgeable about domestic
politics than international events. Just 47% are able to identify the Occupy Wall Street
protesters as predominantly Democratic: 11 % think they are Republicans. Viewers of
cable news on MSNBC are the most likely to think the protestors are Republicans.

The Pollsters themselves are "Anti Fox" therefore they conduct their Poll in an area where they know they will get the results they are looking for, it's their way of making believe in their own little world that "nobody watches Fox" which of course we all konw is just the opposite, Fox is number ONE every month.

    FACT
MSNBC is a huge left wing Joke.

So viewers of MSNBC, in New Jersey, are most likely to be misinformed on the party affiliation of a movement that is explicitly non-partisan (but is probably best characterized as left populist).

However, taken together, Fox misinforms you more than other networks. Interesting single-issue cherry-picking, but MSNBC seems to make 11% of New Jersey residents stupid specifically about OWS. Fox makes you stupid across the board.

Second point: you're talking about 11% being greater than some lower number -- not a lot of wiggle room there, especially on a single issue, rather than an across-the-board group of issues. If the other #s are 8% or 10%, not particularly noteworthy.

    Also.
We hear and see things on Fox that the Democrat Liberal Obama Media doesn't want us to see and hear.

So when you reference the uprising in Egypt to support your premise, that's okay but when I use OWS from the same article, I'm cherrypicking?????? Got it....

I just read ( made up ) a report which says viewers of MSNBC has a greater chance of complaining about FoxNews and it's viewers.

    ----

Seriously, I can't even watch MSNBC, all it is, is a replay of Fox News, with a liberal host. All Lawrence, and those do is replay bits of FoxNews the entire program and complain about Republicans... How can anyone watch that?

I don't watch Fox very much either, but atleast they are bring their news with their slant, all MSNBC does is whine about Fox.

Actually, I don't remember specifying one issue or the other over the whole gamut of questions.

Across the gamut, Fox makes you stupid.

On one specific issue, MSNBC made you stupider.

Gross overstatement, ascribing causality and all that. But when it's a reliable effect across most issues, it pretty much fits.

When you go looking for the one issue where it's the "ideological foe" of fox that scores lowest, you're cherrypicking.

The point is that one network is far more likely to warp your perceptions to the point where you're more poorly informed.

    That one's Fox.

Now, you have correctly pointed out that if you are worried that you'll think OWS is a Republican movement, you have an 11% chance of that happening watching MSNBC.

    Yeah, you're cherrypicking.
