OK, we tried this in January last year and it went quite well.

This is a mock that anyone can take part in but there are some rules:

1. First one to make a pick for a team gets the pick.

2. You must wait five picks before making another pick.

3. Last year we went one round. Lets see how far we can get this year.

4. I won't participate but will make a pick if things bog down for too long.

5. Please be serious - no dodgy Jets picks!

Please use the following format in bold when making a picks. For example:

With the first pick in Rnd 1, the Kansas City chiefs select (insert player)

The Jacksonville Jaguars Are on the clock

6. Feel free to discuss the picks within the thread.

7. Have fun.

To that end:

The Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock!

The chiefs select Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M. The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock.

With the 2nd pick the Jacksonville Jaguars select:

Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

The Oakland Raiders are on the clock.

Edit beaten to the Jags pick.

The Jags select Sharrif Floyd DT Florida . The Oakland Raiders are on the clock.

Bad luck Everlong. Do you want to pick for the Raiders?

The Oakland Raiders select Ezekiel Ansah, DE Brigham Young. The Philadelphia Eagles are now on the clock.

Well the worst part is I would have taken Jordan for them. Honestly they are one of the mystery teams. It was easier when Al was around and I would have taken Milliner for the 40 time.

Personally I'd have given Floyd to the Raiders, although originally I had Floyd going to the Jags as you did. Think the Jags are going Geno Smith.

I almost went Floyd to the Raiders it was very close and I still think that's the direction the Jags go. Smith could very well go there I just don't think he's a top ten talent.

It just seems strange that almost all at the same time, Buffalo, Oakland, Arizona and even Cleveland made QB moves. I suspect the word on the NFL grapevine is that JAX are going with Geno and no-one liked him enough to want to trade up.

Actually, if no-one objects, I will make picks. So:

With the 4th overall pick, the Philadelphia Eagles select Eric Fisher, OT, CMU

The Detroit Lions are on the clock.

With the 5th overall pick, the Detroit Lions select Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama.

The Cleveland Browns are on the clock.

at this point, the browns best choice would be sharrif floyd

This seems like a prime pick to be traded

Quite possibly given they have no 2nd rounder. Panthers may be a dancing partner unless they think star will be there at 14

If we're not doing trades Chance Warmack is the best fit unless you want to reach on a corner with Rhodes or a LB with Jones or Mingo. If Star didn't have the medical concerns I'd go that way. Warmack and Thomas would be one hell of a side of a line.

With the 6th overall pick in the draft, the Browns dial up everyone and their grandmother to try and trade this hot potato.
