Deion Branch is this years Ty Law in this forum

When are some of you going to realize that Belichick RARILY takes back players he traded for or let go?

Banta Cain is a VERY rare exception against of how BB runs this team.once you are out of NE,you most likely are not coming back.

I bet BB does it as much as anyt coach out there. It's just not something that comes up very often.

Rarily?? Really?? He doesn't take back players he walked away from, because by and large he walked away for performance or attitude reasons. But players who walk away from him strictly over money are a different matter. He chased Ty Law in every offseason he was available until 2009. And eventually that season he ended up with Josh... He just brought David Patten back five years after he walked away in FA. Had we needed a starting guard at the time I'm sure he'd have looked at Woody if the price was right. Just like he did with Tebucky.

And had Lawyer, whom it really killed him to have to walk away from as it did Ty, ever told him he'd come to realize the importance of winning more than once, he'd have welcomed him back in a heartbeat. I guarantee you if Seymour were to play well under the tag in Oakland this season, and after a lockout have a change of heart about his priorities and his legacy, Bill would be all over bringing him back...Bill is all about doing whatever he believes is in the best interest of this team, be that in the short term or more often long term. He doesn't begrudge these players their stage or their money because he understands the nature of the beast. He values most the guys who get it, including the reality that there is a little bit of self sacrifice involved, even if it takes them a while to. He's just not going to overpay them in the interim.

If Branch is healthy and he hits the open market, or is even dangled for chump change over the next couple of months, Bill will be all over him. He just won't overpay for the priviledge now any more than he would then.

"Just heard from a pretty reliable source that Deion Branch isn’t going anywhere in Seattle."

So in other words, Deion won't be a Seahawk this year
