These guys have lost their minds.

I think we are starting to have the Michael Jordan/ Chicago Bulls effect: People used to just hate the Bulls, because no one else could beat em.

    I love it!!! :D

It has nothing to do with hate. It is completely objective.

You guys have a great passing game. We have a great pass defense. Sorry to break it to you but an upset here is very real.

The skins are not the best team in football, but they can play with the best teams in football.

    The skins are dangerous.

In another year this scenerio might well occur. This current Pats

team is a team that is obsessed with winning and will not permit

    a letdown.

I don't take any team lightly, on any given Sunday. In fact, this is a trap game, with the Pats possibly looking at the Colts game. I would love the Pats to win tomorrow, but actally it might not be so bad if they lost, would piss em off for the Colts game.

Except that NE has a potent running game with their starter back healthy, and a great defense. Washington has a poor offense.

Even if the great passing offense is offset by the great pass defense things are still heavily in NE's favor.

I'd argue it is not objective. Picking the best team to win every week is boring and unrewarding. Picking upsets is not. People will often overlook the obvious in order to be interesting or different.

LOL If we were going to get caught looking ahead it would've been last week. Honestly, I'll be surprised if we win by less than 21. All do respect to Washington, they're not that good. The offense is terrible and the defense is about to get exposed. Bigtime.

The way I see it, anyone predicting us to lose is doing so simply out of spite. What reason would anyone have to believe that we are going to lose a game.

I mean realistically, who should be picking us to lose.

Until we actually drop a game, it would be ridiculous for anyone to expect us to lose. Just my opinion.

That would be great if the Patriots could not run the ball.

No offense, you sound like a great football fan, but I smell blowout, and it's not them injuns doing the blowin' out.

You have a good pass defense and I expect them to take away the deep ball. That's fine with me. There are other aspects to a balanced passing attack that will become obvious. Don't forget, you have to spend to take away the deep ball. It's an expensive habit. This spending creates opportunity in the economy, and you will see how that opportunity is seized.

I don't think a good pass defense is the key to stopping the Pats. I think it's the front four. If you don't get good push up front then Brady has time. If Brady has time, then it's lights out, I know of no passing defense that can cover all afternoon. It's really not on them.

My curiosity is geared around seeing how much push your front four can get. Blitzing is usually futile, and quick death for the defense, so I think Joe knows that and I don't expect to see it. I really think the front four have to do what nobody else has done so far - put Brady on his arse and challenge him to get rid of the ball in a hurry.

Sure, he's good at that. That's how he made his three rings. But he's out of his normal rhythm for this year by playing that game. And if your guys do actuallly cover well, then he's got problems.

But that's it -that's the only way until I ever see differently. I just don't believe in coverage against this team.

Hey, good luck, go get 'em in the east. It's a great division. Beats the crap out of our division.

    Re: Expecting a Upset

You really have to look at this logically. One of the best secondaries in the league, coupled with quick coverage linebackers can shut down pretty much anybody. Not only that, but the skins have only allowed one pass play over 30 yards all year.... i smelll an upppppssseeet.

    Re: Expecting a Upset

But the Skins offense just isn't very good. And you haven't faced an offense like the Patriots' yet. The closest to it is the Giants, who you lost to, and Burress had a big day (see Moss, Randy).
