Just wondering, how may of you NE posters in this forum who are Now justifying the Pats stealing signals, by saying things to the effect of "everyone does it" or "it hasn't been proven' or 'there's room for error" or whatever your reasoning might be............

---Called Merriman a cheater when he tested positive for Steroids and then called Bolts fans out when they defended him?

GL this weekend...............:eat2:

Okay, what?

There's no need to defend the Pats for stealing signals, because...pay attention, now...it's not against the rules! The pats are on the hook for having a video camera, not for stealing signs.

Christ, are all Charger fans this f****** stupid?!?

D'Gooch,

Did you call out the Denver Bronco fans when the team broke the salary cap rules with John Elway? Did you call out the Steeler fans when they wore pads at their OTA's a couple of years ago? Both cases are against the rules and are considered cheating. Actually, both teams lost draft picks over there rule breaking. This incident is no different. LT changed his diapers from pampers to huggies so he can hold the crap coming from his mouth.

Well so far I have one reply who splits hairs in regards to the issue and then doesn't answer the question--Did you call Merriman a cheater and if so, do you call the Pats cheaters?. OK, "using a video camera to steal signals" should be better for you.

The second reply asks if I called out other teams when they cheated and again doesn't answer the question.

You see, some fans of other teams who visit to have a little conversation and who try not to be 'Trollish' end up being treated like cr*p.

It makes you wonder if LT was correct regarding 'Class' and the Patriot Nation.

You could prove him wrong, by acting civil and answering the question.

Or.........:bricks:

Merriman got caught for roids, which are against NFL policy. Also, he's an a-hole, but that's beside the point. Steroids are illegal in all forms; it's not like he got popped for using a syringe but others got away with it because they used pills, instead. That's what this whole camera thing is: semantics.

"Cheating" is almost impossible to do in professional sports. Putting down the wrong score on your golf cards comes to mind. But stealing signals, which is allowed under NFL policy? Definitely not cheating. I'd have a hard time classifying steroids as cheating, either, though a healthy individual only uses steroids for one reason, and that's to gain an advantage that they can't achieve naturally.

Not sure there was a lot of talk of Merriman being a cheater, an a.. hole maybe but probably not much of a cheater. A big mouth maybe, but not a cheater.

The way it looks right now is the Pats violated a league rule, could have been an attempt at cheating.. but they got caught... there are a lot of unanswered questions right now..

One answer we do know is that on Sunday nite, the bolts are gonna feel the wrath of a pissed off team...
