Warning... the information in this message comes from a certain talk radio host whom many of you despise. If you can't handle the mere mention of his name, hit the back button now. This thread is not political; it's about Tom Brady.

Before championship weekend, Rush Limbaugh always interviews former NFL player Ken Hutcherson. Hutcherson played for the Cowboys, Chargers and Seahawks. Anyway, their conversation this year revolved around Tom Brady and the Patriots. I pulled some interesting quotes out for you guys...

Classic Brady!! "Food, film, sleep, and massage... visualizing a pride of lions mauling a Ugandan cub." I wonder how much visualization Brady actually does before a game. The one thing I've always been so impressed with is how nothing seems to faze him during a game. He has so much confidence out there. I'm sure most of it stems from his preparedness (practice, film, etc.).

There is more Brady related stuff on Limbaugh's website but I won't post it here.

Once again, this is a football thread. If you feel the urge to post something even remotely political, head over to the politics forum and have a blast.

Your girlfriend is a world famous model. Thousands of men fantasize about "getting to know" this Brazilian hottie.

You have a few free hours in a hotel suite before a big event. And you now must prioritize the top 4 things you want to do and the one thing that you want to visualize.

My friends, this is just one more reason why I am not the starting QB for the undefeated Patriots.

Re: "Food, film, sleep, massage... visualizing a pride of lions mauling a Ugandan cub

Rush actually knows a ton of athletes, in baseball and football. He worked for the Kansas City Royals and he has run into a lot of them at golf events and a lot of athletes listened to him and had conversations with him, particularly in the 90s-- they liked his anti-tax message since they, being rich athletes, paid a lot of taxes. ESPN hired him not just because he was a personality that would draw attention to their football pregame show, but because he has plenty of exclusive insight on sports in general and on the NFL. So, his opinion on guys like Brady does have some value-- because when he puts Brady in historical context, he has a lot of information on the set of players in history Brady is being judged against.

We've all known that Brady was driven to succeed and that he still has a chip on his shoulder about all the guys like Tee Martin and Spergon Wynn who went off the board before he did. I think that Brady still doesn't get the credit he deserves by everyone. You listen to some of the old timers on ESPN and they look at other guys who are more current personalities when they say that Brady is the best or next best QB ever like that person had a second head. Hell, there are still people who get paid to talk about the NFL who even today say Manning is better.

Re: "Food, film, sleep, massage... visualizing a pride of lions mauling a Ugandan cub

Yeah, that's the thing about Brady. From the moment the season ends, he is focused on winning it all next season. That singular focus, some call it drive or discipline, is what separates Brady from other great QBs.

I don't want to go off on a tangent here, but this is true of almost any profession. If you love what you do, and you are driven to be the best at it, you will succeed beyond your wildest dreams.

It's not an accient that Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL. He out works everyone else.

I don't get this either. A pride of lions mauling a Ugandan cub. Doesn't make any sense to me.

The guys theory that the Pats lose if Brady gets sacked 3 times doesn't hold water. I'm not sure why Limbaugh had such a hard time looking it up, as it is in his game logs, but he has been sacked 3 times in 4 games this year (@Dal, Phi, @Bal and Mia). They didn't lose.

I almost crapped on hearing this. Brady a fan for the brain dead talk show host?

But it turns out Brady is an independent:

KROFT: You a republican or a democrat?

BRADY: You know, I'm actually independent. I'm actually an independent, and I have been for some time. There's no doubt this world needs a lot of help.

Dude you aren't allowed to bring up Rush and demand that people not comment on how stupid he is. If Brady was a 'ditto-head' my respect for him would plummet. You are a Chargers plant trying to make intelligent fans lose faith in TB. :)

Gee I'm not sure why you and seymour93 had such a hard time looking up the fact that Rush actually did look it up, while in the middle of the interview. (granted they probably only looked at top page of espn stats instead of digging one page deeper to get the game by game; but they were in a live interview)

Amazing how the transcript of everything said is posted on the internet for you to look up but you have to be quick to take your pre-conceptions and slam somebody without bothering to read a transcript.

I don't agree with rush on a number of things; but I do find that he is the most often mis-quoted individual in either tv or radio. usually taken out of context or misquoted just to bash him. and you guys are par for the course. find another cause celeb please.

as far as this argument goes Rush was the one defending Brady saying even if he got sacked 3 times he would still win. a position I would think we would all agree with.

Re: "Food, film, sleep, massage... visualizing a pride of lions mauling a Ugandan cub

I don't have an pre-conceptions, post-conceptions, or any real conceptions at all about him. I don't care one way or another. Politics aren't my thing. I was just surprised they didn't have it, considering it is so easy to find.

I did read the transcript, and thought I should point out Brady has been sacked 3 times on 4 occasions this season. That wasn't all I was trying to say. I don't have a comment either way on Limbaugh.
