    No one hurt, but still a traumatic event and therefore I'm not a fan. I know, I know .. people are too sensitive. :) Go Patriots

    Traumatic for the airline's pocketbook maybe. Something tells me those passengers will get over it quickly once they win a class action lawsuit and never pay for another flight for the rest of their lives. ;)

    I actually know someone who was a passenger on a plane that had to make an emergency landing due to inclement weather. As recompense, she can fly that airline free for the rest of her life.

    The flip side to that, of course, is -- as you stated might be the case with yourself -- she now hates flying and whenever she flies has to get stinking drunk and pass out on the plane. (Which is good or bad depending on what you think of having a good reason to get stinking drunk. )
