    From the article:

--Walsh does NOT have a confidentiality agreement with the Patriots or anything else that would prevent his cooperation, though I assume that does not include stolen property.

--Specter wants to talk to BB and Ernie Adams, but says he has been stonewalled. The Pats attorney told Specter that "it's a league matter," basically that Specter has no business investigating this.

--The JETS have also denied permission for their people to speak to Specter. I'm sure they don't want their people under oath about their taping practices. I liked that one, though I suspect it will not be reported.

--Damon Huard would not talk to Specter, who called him, but Huard did not believe it was actually Specter.

--Specter seemed to take offense that there were "notes." Why would there not be notes?

That's nothing but a big F You to Specter. The league is closing ranks.

Got to love that headline by ESPN: Specter says Patriots 'stonewalling' Spygate probe

Keep up the responsible journalism, boys!

This is a very telling quote: "Originally, we were only told about videos, and they only went back a half-dozen games in '06."

This was NEVER said. It was always reported as 6 tapes. This shows just how much of a boob we are dealing with. Just because he assumed six tapes equals six videos, we have to deal with his crap some more.

Hell, we have tapes at work that can hold 200 gig of data. I don't know how many gig a game would take up, but I am guessing 3 at best, and that is in HD.

I love it I love it I love it. Sphincter must be starting to realize he's barking up the wrong tree. I just love the entire league, including teams that were "violated" telling him to go stick it...

    Re: Mike Fish article, espn.com

At this point I think the lame duck needs mental health help. Maybe he's developing altzheimers or senile denentia, they get belligerent and a tad paranoid as well as easily confused. Either he didn't pay attention at the time the story broke and the penalty was handed down, but Goodell always said there were 6 tapes dating back to 2006, but the notes went all the way back to 2000 and were provided as requested and destroyed because they existed and could have been based on tape - BECAUSE BB ADMITTED HE HAD BEEN DOING THIS SINCE 2000.

Term limits, in the congress and on the competition commitee. That is what this country and this league really need, Senator.

Love how they buried the one salient fact in this story midway through this drivel. HE NEVER HAD A CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT, another lie for Matt.

I have to say I find it interesting as well that this story gets buried on a Friday night. Might be a sign that the whole spygate fervor is starting to die...

Specter was assuming the tapes were being recorded using a Betamax from 1975. Isn't that the latest technology?

It would be wonderful if I were to wake up tomorrow and the entire nation would come to their senses, realize "spygate" isn't a big deal and move on. Sweet dream, ain't going to happen, but worth thinking about. Spygate is one big YAWN for me now. It's noise, and I just try to not give a shyt about these new articles.

Re: Fish: Specter irked by uncooperative Pats, league in Spygate probe

The Patriots, or anyone else in the NFL shouldn't be talking to Specter.

Specter has made it known he does not believe Goddell; and I find it pretty absurd that Goddell would lie to the public, or to a government official.

Therefore, it can be infered that Specter will not believe what anyone else tells him.

So whats the point of talking to him? He's only going to take what you say and call you a liar.

I love it how Specter views Walsh as being the most honest, truth telling individual but everybody else he implies is hiding information. Walsh has been granted indemity on the condition that he tells the truth. He is also not limited by a "privacy" contract. The question then remains, for someone who claimed to have a story to tell, why isn't he?

Re: Fish: Specter irked by uncooperative Pats, league in Spygate probe

"I talked to him, and he wouldn't talk," Specter said. "I didn't go through a secretary, and he doubted that it was Arlen Specter. Maybe that is why he wouldn't talk. I don't sound much like Arlen Specter."

I don't sound much like Arlen Specter?? WTF, even more of a pompous tool then I previously imagined, and that's really saying something....

If I lived in Pennsylvania I would NEVER cast a vote for this guy. He is an embarresment to a great state (got family there).

He used to seem alright, but now I think he's lost his mind. If you take up supposed non-ethical video-taping of sports events as your rallying cry you've done an injustice to not only your constiuents in Penn., but the rest of the country.

He doesn't deserve to be a Senator. He's a bloviating windbag that NOBODY takes seriously anymore. He should stick with being a spokesman for Comcast.

I live in PA and just sent a "get a life" e-mail to his office. Are people in NE contacting their senators??
