2 things I don't understand:

1. How does Italy move upto #2?

2. How does my beloved Canadian team drop 17 spots? (becuase they suck isn't an acceptable response)

Brazil have lost out here because they are not competing while the likes of Germany and Italy have just been in a big tournament so they move above Brazil (basically thats how they move up). Then you take into account Italy are current world champions and although they were poor this summer, they still reached the knockout phase and earned a good few points that will keep them ahead of Germany.

I'd imagine Canada has suffered, like Brazil because they're not competing as much?

England should be top 10 still. They had a rough 2007 but with a new manager they should be right there with all the others.

I think we can be in there, but we have a long way to go match the the top 5 sides in the world. England have inner problems the likes of the Germans, Brazilians and the Argies don't. The latter would all die for their countries shirt whilst English players will take it or leave it. You get the impression the national team gets in the way of club matters, no matter what the players say about being proud to play for England.
