FBI Arrests James O'Keefe At Landrieu's Office - The Atlantic Politics Channel

James O'Keefe, the conservative filmmaker who posed as a pimp in video stings at ACORN field offices, has been arrested by the FBI at Sen. Mary Landrieu's (D-LA) office in downtown New Orleans, in connection to what appears to be an attempt to wiretap the offiice, NOLA.com reports:

FBI Special Agent Steven Rayes alleges that O'Keefe aided and abetted two others, Joseph Basel and Robert Flanagan, who dressed up as employees of a telephone company and attempted to interfere with the office's telephone system.

A fourth person, Stan Dai, was accused of aiding and abetting Basel and Flanagan. All four were charged with entering fedral property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony.

O'Keefe gained notoriety for his secretly filmed ACORN videos, which caused a firestorm of media intrigue surrounding ACORN after O'Keefe posted them on the Andrew-Brietbart-owned blog Big Government last year.

It is amazing how far the Polanski loving left will reach !

On a side note Sarah Palins Husky lifted his leg on a snow pile and Al Gore
is now blaming the dog for contributing to the melting of the Polar ice caps.

Interesting. I'd like to see the whole story on what they were actually trying to do. Was this for a new documentary?

Were you not posting here when we had the various discussions about right-wingers entrapping ACORN employees? If not, one of the good things about the board is that thanks to each other we learn new things. You should go back and read some of the ACORN threads where I'm sure your point of view is well represented. Then this thread might make more sense to you.

ACORN is a political organization that has been proven to be corrupt in just about every way imaginable. You can't defend them, so you simply try to attack one of the many, many individuals who has exposed them for the morally and intellectually bankrupt organization they are. Yes, that's right. ACORN is both morally and intellectually bankrupt with a perverse agenda.
Could you please refrain from making personal attacks against me? They are against the rules of the forum. Thank you.

Damn, I guess this means we won't get to see Landrieu's TOTAL corruption and raping of the American people live and in grainy video images.

    What a shame.

I'm too tired to click links, so I've got no clue what happened. I will say that if the people in question were attempting to bug the phones of a senator, then they're in trouble, and rightfully so. I'll read up on it tomorrow.

Entrapped Acorn? Ahahahahahahahaha!!!! Remember though everyone, Patters is the one who cares about children. Just not the one's that Acorn helps push into sexual slavery, or any others that can be exploited for political gain.

It is always amazing the reaction of the right, to the lawbreaking of the right.. just last week their media darling was a level 3 sex offender who had committed 15 felonies... there is quite a bit of media coverage about this today, Breitbart is in denial

The reality is that it starts with condoning illegal activity, and then commences to this.. either you obey the law or you break the law.. it is not a difficult concept.. looks like the FBI were paying attention to this, they are not usually a rapid response team...

Richard Nixon thought it was ok to break into the DNC offices, since that time there has been continual efforts to circumvent the law for political expediency..

Hotair says they are stupid but says Breitbart knows nothing about it.. in reality no one really knows of any complicity on other levels..

Hot Air Blog Archive James O’Keefe arrested for trying to tap Mary Landrieu’s phones; Update: Breitbart statement added

    Fox news downplays it..

Michelle Malkin, even agrees this is bad...

Guys like O'Keefe were "American Heros" to the Anti American Left Wing all through the 60's.

Barack Hussein Obama's friend Bill Ayers was one of them..
Peter/Paul/Mary and Joan Baez sang songs about them.

Breitbart admits paying activist who tried to bug Democratic senator | Raw Story

The man who made the conservative activist who posed as a pimp to undermine the community organizing group ACORN, confessed that he pays him -- while at the same time arguing he has "nothing to do with" what he does.

Well if he was doing something illegal then he needs to face the music. This changes nothing about Acorn. They are still a scum sucking worthless organization. He brought them down and I applaud him for his efforts. Regarding his efforts to tap a politicians phone, if true, that makes him an idiot and a felon.

    Alot like acorn.

But, but, but they have never been charged in a court of law.. see the difference.. the only court they have been tried in is the court of drudge, limbaugh, hannity, coulter.. i.e. the court of right wing public opinion, all of this from the party who loves the constitution...:nono::nono::nono:

Correct. They were never charged in a court of law for telling people how to pimp out underage girls. If you watched that video and thought the explanation of how to set up a whore house full of young girls is okay then you are an idiot and a shill. See the difference. Never mind you mind numbing spin of drudge limbaugh bla bla...is it okay to pimp out underage girls from other countries? Never mind the right wing public opinion bull...maybe you didn't notice the democrats distancing themselves from acorn as quick as possible. See the difference. Next point...acorn employees have been charged and convicted in a court of law.

AR 1998 A contractor with ACORN-affiliated Project Vote was arrested for falsifying about 400 voter registration cards.
CO 2005 Two ex-ACORN employees were convicted in Denver of perjury for submitting false voter registrations.
2004 An ACORN employee admitted to forging signatures and registering three of her friends to vote 40 times.
CT 2008 The New York Post reported that ACORN submitted a voter registration card for a 7-year-old Bridgeport girl. Another 8,000 cards from the same city will be scrutinized for possible fraud.
FL 2009 In September, 11 ACORN workers were accused of forging voter registration applications in Miami-Dade County during the last election. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the state attorney’s office scoured hundreds of suspicious applications provided by ACORN and found 197 of 260 contained personal ID information that did not match any living person.
2008 Election officials in Brevard County have given prosecutors more than 23 suspect registrations from ACORN. The state's Division of Elections is also investigating complaints in Orange and Broward Counties.
2004 A Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokesman said ACORN was “singled out” among suspected voter registration groups for a 2004 wage initiative because it was “the common thread” in the agency’s fraud investigations.
IN 2008 Election officials in Indiana have thrown out more than 4,000 ACORN-submitted voter registrations after finding they had identical handwriting and included the names of many deceased Indianans, and even the name of a fast food restaurant.
MI 2008 Clerks in Detroit found a "sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent [voter] applications" from the Michigan branch of ACORN. Those applications have been turned over to the U.S. Attorney's office for investigation.
2004 The Detroit Free Press reported that “overzealous or unscrupulous campaign workers in several Michigan counties are under investigation for voter-registration fraud, suspected of attempting to register nonexistent people or forging applications for already-registered voters.” ACORN-affiliate Project Vote was one of two groups suspected of turning in the documents.
MO 2008 Nearly 400 ACORN-submitted registrations in Kansas City have been rejected due to duplication or fake information.

Should I go on? Copy and paste is easy. O'Keefe has allegedly done wrong. He should be punished if convicted. Acorn has a very dark history of voter fraud and now anyone that watched the videos can see they are full of scumbags.

Call names to someone else, only in this parallel universe called the right wing can these guys be turned into some type of deity as they break the law.. first in the acorn incident and now in NOLA...

It is what it is.. in the aforementioned parallel universe the end always justifies the means...

Why don't you use all your energy to check out defense contractor fraud.. when the right hears any Rightie wrongdoing, the pavlovian response is ACORN... take this as face value a serious wrongdoing, that may have the unintended consequence as portraying Landrieux as a victim of right wing shenanigans..

Play by the rules righties, obey the law... and don't coddle your own law breakers, they get real confused...

??? What the hell are you even talking about? O'keefe is in trouble. He should own up and serve the time if he did the crime. Acorn is full of shills, scum, racists, and criminals. They represent a large voting block for dems and until they were uncovered as a criminal organization they were protected. O'keefe did a good thing by exposing their activities. He did a bad thing by allegedly trying to tap the phones. Defense contractors? Did O'keefe get them on tape explaining how to set up a rape house? I must have missed that video.

    UNCOVERED!

    whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

O'Keefe selectivly showed you entrapment...and most of those people didnt take him or his "Hos" seriously.

You are also basing your 'evidence' on ACORN being criminal on the video of a dude who was just arrested for attempting to tap a member of congress' phone?

shaky ground to say the least.

Here. This will help illustrate my point. We will role play. You are the Acorn employee and I will be me.

Diver: Good morning how can I help you white people?
    Atomdomb: White people?
Diver: Yah, we usually don't help white people.
    Atomdomb: Anyway, morning douchebag.
Diver: I wish I was a douchebag. At least I would be getting some tail every now and then.
Atomdomb: Well your in luck...me and this ho need to get a home for her to work at.
Diver: Interesting(rubs crotch suggestly). What did you have in mind?
Atomdomb: Well I can't say that she sucks the D for money on this form...what do I say?
Diver: Just say that she cleans houses. By the way, how much does it cost to have the salami swallowed? (wink wink) Very subtle by the way.
Atomdomb: Ummm you have sores on your mouth...
Diver: Just herpes from a crack whore...
Atomdomb: How about if we were thinking of bringing in some girls that might not be quite old enough for this line of work.
Diver: Ohh, keep that hush hush. Just say it's an orphanage. Were will you have the orphanage??? I may be able to make a donation?
Atomdomb: The girls may come from other countries..
Diver: Oh, then it's okay then.
    Atomdomb: How old are you?
    Diver: 38
Atomdomb: You didn't finish high school did you?
Diver: Nope, and that damn GED is so hard.
Atomdomb: Why did Acorn give you a job then?
    Diver: I ain't white.
Atomdomb: Ohh, thanks for you time.
Diver: Hey, do you have any dead relatives in the area?
    Atomdomb: ???
Diver: If you give me the names and socials I can have them vote in the next election...

Some of this is true and some of it isn't but you get the point. Acorn is scum. Sorry for using your name.

Holy Diver and Acorn are not affiliated nor does he work for them.
Atomdomb does not own or know any hos.
One of them does not support any of the above information. One of them supports at least some of it.

O'keefe has not been convicted of anything. That being said he will probably get convicted of something with Landrieu's office. He should be punished if he broke the law. You can't mess around with a Federal office ever. He was stupid and it will probably cost him.

Acorn has still been exposed as scum and shills.
