Doesn't anyone realize we need to throw a deep bomb on every single offensive play to a 6-5 WR?

It's the only way we'll ever win a Lombardi. Isn't that the tried and true method?

He's 21-8 now in the playoffs. Joe Montana's playoff record is 16-7.

One more SB run would put him at 24-8. Should we have to go a WC run to win it that would be 25-8.

One more title run will squash any conversation. One for the thumb Tommy and any controversy is over.

He'll be the greatest PERIOD. There will be no deliberation.
As a long time Patriot's fan (1975), the fact we are even talking about "One for the thumb" is mind boggling for me. Steve Grogan was a hero for me as a new Pat's fan back then, and to think Brady is in the discussion for the greatest QB of all time is just crazy. The stats are just crazy. We've been so fortunate to have had 15 years of Brady/ Belichick. So blessed, what a wonderful 15 years, and we will probably get a couple more years out of them. Just incredible.

Clarification is needed on the 10-game playoff winning streak, the Patriots post-season winning streak is three.

the reference is not to the current streak but to the league's longest streak ever and also the longest streak to start a career by a QB. It started with the tuck rule game and ended after the missed call of Champ Bailey's touchback.

That missed call led to years of frustration...suddenly ended and atoned by Malcolm Freakin' Butler's heads up winning play.

Minor correction: since the AFL-NFL merger, not the Super Bowl era (which aren't quite the same thing).

correct...

Tom Brady has more career playoff wins than 27 NFL FRANCHISES have had since 1970

Do you feel LaFell is a solid outside receiver?

Brady has an NFL record nine game-winning drives in postseason history, the most in NFL history!

it's sad, but there are enough people who believes 4-0 in SB is better than going 6-10 in SBs. yeah, people are ******ed. 'hey that guy lost 10 SBs!! next!!'

seriously.

Tom Brady has engineered 46 career game-winning performances in leading his team to victory from a fourth-quarter deficit or tie. In six of those comebacks, Brady threw a touchdown pass in the final minute of the game.

Thing is, there is a dedicated group of NFL fans who will discredit and downplay Brady at all costs, which has gone on since his rookie year. If he can get to five SBs, you don't even have to "argue" anymore about Tom being #1. You can simply state the FACTS that he has the most SBs, most playoff wins, and highest winning pct. of all-time. Those are facts, not opinions. Oh, Joe Montana/Peyton Manning is better? Okay, buddy... did you know that Tom Brady has the most SBs, playoff wins, and highest winning pct. in NFL history? I'll take those tangible facts over your opinion.

Yeah but...Tony Romo!!! Gaa Gaa Goony!!

Another always-relevant stat:

League leader in players thrown out of the club: GRONK

Lol awesome.. and you got a dislike for this lol!

People love to troll these forums and use the dislike/disagree function it seems.. perhaps it's the closest thing to perceived power that they have, who knows!

I like this but in regards to the 2 HOF teammates doesn't that consider more thought. Most of Brady's teammates aren't eligible for the HOF yet. I cant think of at least 5 especially if you start to include a one and done like Revis.

How's this then....something a bit more objective?

Joe Montana : 15 seasons, 3,409 comp, 5,391 att, 63.2 %, 40,551 yds, 273 TDs, 31 comebacks, 33 game winning drives, 16-7 postseason record, 4-0 Super Bowl record

Tom Brady: 15 seasons, 4,551 comp, 7,168 att, 63.5%, 53,258 yds, 392 TDs, 35 comebacks, 47 game winning drives, 21-8 postseason record, 4-2 Super Bowl record

Impressive, but different eras from a defensive point of of view. Brady would have quite lower numbers, except in completion percentage, if defensive backs were allowed to do their jobs the way they did when Montana played.

Also, quarterbacks got crushed before rules changes in the 2000s made it harder to sack a quarterback. More recent changes are almost ridiculous but entirely understandable from a marketing standpoint. We're going to see more QBs playing deep into their 30s and early 40s like Manning and Brady.

21 straight regular season and postseason games won by Belichick’s team from October 5, 2003 to October 24, 2004, the longest string of wins in NFL history.

Does he still possess the post-season single game completion % record?

92.8% against Jacksonville in 2007 playoffs.

26/28 262yds (9.4ypa) 3 TD 0 INT

Maybe one of the most impressive single game PO stat lines ever.

It's jolly sporting of Brady and Belichick to spot their opponents a lead in the 4th quarter just to make things entertaining, I say. Bravo!
