I thought this might be interesting, and I'll post it here in General since it's not a Patriots-specific topic. For those of us who grew up in the Boston area or who are life long Boston sports fans, name your favorite all time player on each team. Here are mine:

Patriots - Andre Tippett, the closest thing we ever had to Lawrence Taylor.

Red Sox - Fred Lynn, memories of him knocking himself out against the center field wall in the '75 series, plus that sweet lefty swing. Great stuff. Jim Rice is a close second.

Celtics - Larry Bird, who else? But that's obvious. I'll give a second place vote to Cedric Maxwell.

Bruins - Rick Middleton, he just made the game look easy.

Pats...it used to be Bledsoe. Now it is the team. Seriously I don't pay attention to any one player. I purchased custom auth jerseys in home and away and flat out cheer for the jersey now. If you make me pick now and call BS...I would say Grogan

Red Sox....YAZ, not even close for me.

Celtics...Larry Legend after he retired I pretty much stopped watching basketball as it doens't even resemble the same game anymore

Bruins....B. Orr or Cam Neely, probably Cam by a skate length

    #75 Jersey

These aren't the best players, but they're my favorites:

    Pats- Tedy Bruschi
Sox - Yaz, I met him at Child World (W-a-a-ay back!) as a little kid and he was real nice to me and my brother.
Celtics - Bob Cousy. Worcester native. Real good to the local kids.
Bruins - Stan Jonathan. I was always him on the pond cause I couldn't score and fought a lot.

Patriots - Brady ( he changed my sports watching world)
Red Sox - Carl Yastrzemski ( coming out of nowhere to dominate the '75 LCS
and again coming out of nowhere to be our biggest threat in the '78 playoff game)
Celtics - who else, Larry Bird
    Bruins - Ray Bourque

Celts: Bill Russell greatest winner of all time in team sports.
Bruins: Bobby Orr changed what a defenseman could do.
Sox: Ortiz, clutch brought chemistry to a team that never had much.
Patriots Brady, eventhought not yet at mid career, could become the greatest QB in the history of the game.

Pats-Bruschi. It had been Lawyer but, well, you know...

    Celtics-Larry Bird. No question.

Bruins-Adam Oates. A friend of mine used to dog sit for him as they were neighbors.

Red Sox-Ortiz. It had been Nomar but, well, you know...
