    speaking of Jerry...

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/15/jer....ap/index.html

LYNCHBURG, Virginia (AP) -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in "gravely serious" condition after being found unconscious in his office Tuesday, a Liberty University executive said.

Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Falwell's Liberty University, said Falwell was found unresponsive around 10:45 a.m. and taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Godwin said he was not sure what caused the collapse, but "he has a history of heart challenges."

    Now being reported on cnn.com.

I hated the guy, but at the same time you hate to see anyone die.

It's on the AP now, He's dead.

Good comment Pujo. I wasn't a huge fan myself, but some compassion is in order.

Rest in peace and comfort to his family

    :)

If heaven exists, I have a feeling you're wrong - but I'm Agnostic leaning towards Atheist so I think it's a moot point.

    As for Falwell - whatever.

It's amazing how quickly people pick up on Agenda Boy. It took mtb all but 2 threads. 3tobe4 holds the record though, I think it only took him about 10 seconds to catch on. :D

He had to get in his little dig, he can't stand people that don't agree with him.
He stopped speaking to me :singing:

Everyone can disagree with Falwell on what he did. ( i did on occasion) however he was a good man. A friend of mine, who is now a law enforcement officer here in lynchburg...used to be one of Dr Falwell's personal bodyguard's a few years ago (he spent 9 years with him) . My friend did not see eye to eye with him on many things religiously...however he will be the first in line to defend him when someone says something bad about him as a person. He saw everything behind the scenes, ( I have heard some crazy stories) and had the utmost respect for Dr Falwell as a person. He was the same person in front of the camera as he was in private....and that my friends is rare!

Feel free to disagree with what he said, but he was a good man!

I am no fan of Organized religion and I have said that many times on here, but as far as human beings go there were and are a lot worse than Jerry Falwell they are in the religious world and the political world.

Priceless, how old was he anyways?? Haven't seen much of him lately, but he looked as though he was getting pretty old. RIP Jerry.. glad to see you were not in a wheelchair drooling on yourself.

Actually, today he said he stopped blocking you, only to realize he "hadn't missed anything" by having you blocked. But he says he's "got a good job, a good girl, and came home in the black" from Lost Wages, so he must be good to go. According to him, at least. The Other Side may indeed have some surprises for him, however.

Sad when anyone dies, but he was a man of faith....he was pretty confident in his beliefs, so I assume he is in a better place. He now knows the answer to the question we all want to know.
