This links to a rawstory article, but the actual video is also included.

The Raw Story | ABC pundits slam McCain's handling of financial crisis

"I suppose the McCain campaign's hope is that when there's a big crisis, people will go for age and experience," George Will said. "The question is who in this crisis looked more presidential, calm and unflustered. It wasn't John McCain, who, as usual, substituting vehemence for coherence said let's fire somebody and picked one of the most experienced and conservative people in the administration."

McCain pretty much made a fool of himself this past week. But, it's good to see a reliable conservative (and McCain/Palin supporter) own up to it.

"You really don't want a president who is a football fan. Football combines the worst features of American life. It is violence punctuated by committee meetings."

Ruper Murdoch moched Obama's economic ideas ... what does this all mean? Has a President ever formed economic policy on their own? They rely on experts and let's face it there are more than 2 opinions on economic answers to anything economic.

You meant "mocked", and I agree. Barack Obama has less experience with economic policy than either John McCain OR Sarah Palin. Obama is ALL TALK, all rhetoric, all spin. NO substance except: pay more taxes. If he tried to do his socialized medicine health plan in today's economic climate he would have the entire US economy in a full-scale depression within a year.

    Socialized medicine???????

Have you completely slept through the past 10 days?

Wake up FB!!!!! George Bush socialized the U.S. Banking System and much of the stock market while you slumbered.

But, of course, doing the same thing to take care of people's health would destroy the country.

It's not a surprise that a Republican doesn't like it - Gingrich doesn't either - it's not exactly right off the Republican playbook is it ?

What confuses Patters is that the Republicans don't all placate, lay down and follow along - that's what Patters does to Obama and other Democrat "leaders".

    Define the word "is".

It is a one-way Corporate Socialism for the losses (of course the profits are privatized).

The Money Market backing saved WAMU, Wachovia and many others (at least for the time being).

Where's the invisible hand? Nothing's invisible - - we all can those hands working away.

I'll let George Will answer that question:

"The political left always aims to expand the permeation of economic life by politics. Today, the efficient means to that end is government control of capital. So, is not McCain's party now conducting the most leftist administration in American history? The New Deal never acted so precipitously on such a scale. Treasury Secretary Paulson, asked about conservative complaints that his rescue program amounts to socialism, said, essentially: This is not socialism, this is necessary. That non sequitur might be politically necessary, but remember that government control of capital is government control of capitalism. Does McCain have qualms about this, or only quarrels? "

Now, since your question was answered, how about answering to 'How is what has happened over the past two weeks NOT socialist?'

I wish I had a clue as to what that means, or what that answers exactly.

I know, using your own words to answer a pretty simple question is asking alot. So again, I'll ask it.

Please explain to me how GW socialized the banking system.

George Will answered it in the quote I referenced very clearly.

"Government control of Capital" - - I would perhaps argue that it is a premutation of socialism where the masses subsidize the masses. It certainly isn't every man for himself - - is it?

    I answered your question.

Answer this: How is the Adminstration's $700 billion bailout of Wall Street considered by you to be the "invisible hand of Free-Market Capitalism"?
