BB old friend Jackson tabs the Pats as the top team for 2006-2007. In the roundtable discussion, in his most coherent and sensible appearance on ESPN this year, Michael Irvin blasted the Super Bowl referees and said changes are needed in the refereeing in the NFL. Irvin and Jaws had Pitt as #1 next yr. with the Pats at #3 and #4, and with Indy #2.

Sounds like ol' Tommy J. wants to make amends ... so he can sit on the same set with Bill, several years from now ... the next time BB is free to practice commentating at the Super Bowl.

i think pitt at anything 1-5 is way overrated.... TJ just ate a big turd there! must have killed him to know that the team he said "deserted its coach". then won, then the coach told him to "f&ck off" after the game. he has to feel bad... poor TJ

Used to like TJ somewhat, but he has slowly gone down on my credibility ratings. Irvin has no credibility, Jaws is ok, but he is suspect also. All are just talking heads who need a real job.

Given the (lack of) success that SB winning and losing teams not named "Patriots" have had for a while, it makes little sense to pick Pittsburgh especially as they aren't that great and didn't even win their division. Heck, they were probably first round playoff losers if they didn't knock out the Bengals' Palmer.
