I'll trade him straight up for Ed Reed.

The slight chance he has of turning it around outweighs the benefit of the 7th rounder they would likely get for him.

Since they have reed maybe they are willing to part ways with a safety.

I think the patriots hang on to him, seeing how they are 5-2.

If Galloway starts to catch the ball we wouldnt be having any big issues with Galloway.

The 2007 offense had Moss, stallworth, welker, you take away stallworth and you add a part-time galloway the offense will still win games.

    Save Galloway for the playoffs.

The Pats 4-2 and with the way we played yesterday I think that our wide out corps is set. Galloway had a shot and Aiken has played well it's time to move on.

I guess you have to weigh up what you get back v what you are potentially giving to your opponents.

Nothing to say Joey can't go into a Baltimore system and click, then all we've done in return for a 7th draft pick is arm a team we're likely to face further down the line

I was thinking the same thing. Bill might not hit on every early rounder, but he certainly has hit on more then his fair share of late rounders.

You can't keep non-productive guys on your team because you are afraid if you cut or trade them, they will help someone else. You would end up with a squad of non-performers.

It isn't what you can get vs what you give back. It is do you want the guy on your team or not. That is the questoin that counts. If you want him on the team, keep him. If you don't want him, you cut or trade him, and it is hard to say that cutting is better than trading unless you are sending a message to the team. Usually getting a fifth, sixth or seventh rounder is better than not getting one.

People think late round picks are worthless when we trade for them (WE gave up Play X for a lousy end-of-the-draft pick?) yet go beserk when we trade one away (we gave up a draft pick for that waste Player Y?)

Personally, I hope Galloway works out. I like him. But if it is keeping him inactive for the next 10 games and the playoffs vs taking a flyer on someone else, then I'd go with the flyer.

I expect Galloway to be traded or waived in the next couple of days.

Trading a guy who somehow isn't worth making the game roster makes sense. Even for a 7th. 7ths are often used to 'grease' bigger trades. If you TRADE him, you control who gets him. There are certain rivals whom you do not wish to help who could pick up a cut player on waivers. After the trade deadline, the underperformers (e.g. OAK) would have 1st shot but there are no guarantees.

If we don't get a 5th, I don't see why we shouldn't keep him. Players get injured. Unless Tate/Nunn are going to play and I don't know how Tate would play this year.

I'd trade him, but I'd want at least a 5th rounder. For less than that, I'd keep him for the stretch drive.

Reed, Suggs, a 1st Round Pick, and cash, for Joey Galloway. Debating whether I should put a smiley face here, or let people think I'm serious. :)

You and I seem to be watching a different Aiken playing receiver.
