Pretty good information on draft process.

    Players he likes

    Ryan Kerrigam
    Williams RB VT
    Matthews Ore

A small school WR forgot name

His board confirmed depth at Dl

Also 3-4 teams will want nose tackles and probably jordan who played in only 3-4 defense in college.

HAd good perspective on picking Qbs and Rbs

I only watched the first thirty minutes. I wanted to watch the rest of it but I had work in the morning. Which clearly I am not getting done as I have been blogging all day. Lets go Patriots!

It was fascinating. Very informative. I'm sure there are some significant similarities with how the patriots go about evaluating and drafting players as well.

Good insight on how rated players get on the board and when the draft is over, everyone left gets moved into the PFA (priority free agent list).

The alphabet categorization was insightful as well. Talked about labeling a player by rating and a letter, which represented a certain trait of player (too short, no motivation, etc...) coupled with the player rating gave you a quick high level view of the player. Parcells' passion shown well in that segment.

    Increased my respect for Parcels.

Watched most of it, he admitted to a few "injury" flag mistakes in the past (didn't name the players), but the best thing was his sticky notes:

NFU: Not for Us, a player with too much baggage (injury or otherwise)

INB: In the Box, not drafting player "x" regardless of how far he falls.

He had a few others, but I can't remember them, it was interesting to see his draft board, and his explainations of how they go about things on draft day (you HAVE to think that BB got some of what he does from BP).

I thought it was pretty interesting

The small school WR was Ricardo Lockette; however, remember the point where he was talking about May Day in Moscow? Comrade Lockette is there.

I was hoping he did not tip the patriots hand with some of his similar likes in kerrigan and Williams

I missed the beginning but did see most of this. I thought it was very interesting, almost like a 2nd chapter to the Nick Caserio conference from a week ago. A lot of things were very similar with slightly altered details in terms of how players are graded and labeled. In addition some other things such as the evolution of the fullback position were pretty good.

I really wish the four-letter network would give us more of this type of show and a lot less Around the Horn, Pardon the Interruption, Poker, etc.

It was interesting to see his player ranking. I think he had:
    1) Von Miller - OLB (1st)
    2) Aldon Smith - OLB (1st)
    3) Ryan Kerrigan - OLB (2nd)
    4) Dontay Moch - OLB (2nd)
    5) Justin Houston - OLB (3rd)

    1) jj Watt - DE (1st)
    2) Robert Quin (1st)
    3) Cameron Jordan - DE (1st)
    4) M Willkerson - DE (1st)

    ..) Brook Read - DE (3rd round)

He also seemed high on phil taylor

    DE - 1st
    JJ Watt
    D'Quan Bowers
    Cam Heyward
    Cam Jordan
    Robert Quinn
    Adrian Clayborn

    DT - 1st
    Marcell Darius
    Nick Fairley
Phil Taylor (Yes, he ranked him as his #1 NT - though why a 319 lb Dareus doesn't also count is besides me - but remember Parcells did like turds on the roster.)
    Muhammad Wilkerson

    OLB - 1st
    Von Miller
    Aldon Smith
    Ryan Kerrigan

I admit to pausing the tv when the average height / weight graphs.

    Great special.

52% of drafted players come from 27 schools, not all big programs (Iowa was an example).

Watched it on DVR this afternoon and found it riveting. It was great to see his board and hear Parcells talk about the grades and notations they make on each of these guys. Very informative and fun to watch.
