Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

Wow, that's a very bold statement. The big story is not Randy Moss, but the conduct of the attorneys; one of these two lawyers is going to lose their license.

One down, 999,999 to go .......

Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

interesting...it seems as time goes on that Randy is more and more in the right

Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

Ya never know. The form has a warning about false allegations and penalties where she signed. This is a high profile case, they may go after her...especially if the Attorney rolls.

State would have to prove she knew they were false. In other words prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she knew Randy did not act intentionally. Very difficult to do.

However, even if he in fact beat the living crap out of her. What the atty did was extortion.

Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

Moss's Agent - Thoughful, caring and intelligent.

Attorney McGill - D-bag beyond belief. Say goodbye to your legal career!

Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

Has this broken anywhere else? Was it sent only to Reiss to break?

Wonderful, professional, informative, convincing. Randy, imagine Rachelle's face on everyone in the SD secondary, and go to town on them Sunday!!!

Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

Good read. Now maybe we can all move on to the game. I'm sure Randy and Pats would prefer that!!!

Re: Email from Tim DiPiero, agent for Randy Moss

So let's check the tally...

You now have 2 seperate well established lawyers and an NFLPA Player agent and the player saying it happened one way (shakedown). And some wet behind the ears wannabe entertainment and sports lawyer whose been in practice less than 2 years saying via a former bartender/entertainer wannabe turned radio newswoman exactly the opposite. And the woman in question saying nothing beyond sporting a splint on an unbroken finger.

I think the Moss camp has decided that since out is out, they will go scortched earth via the media vs. this guy to get this thing dropped.

Wow, this is going too turn into a wild fire, I think Randy should move into Gillette, isolate himself from the news and be allowed to focus on ball.

Let his lawyer handle this, this could run wild in the media depending on the response.

I think her attorney has no choice but too respond as strongly as possible, his case and reputation has just been nuked !

Reiss reports the news, he does not try to become the news.

Who else would he give it to?

That sums it up pretty well and I think Ms. Washington's attorney is going to find out the hard way what happens when you mess with people who have lawyers bigger/smarter/sharper than you.......

This is still nothing more than a "he said she said" incident. This is Randy's agent and he could be easily be making this stuff up. Just as she has no evidence that anything occurred, where is the evidence for this?

Look, I want to believe Moss because I don't want it to hurt my team. However, this statement changes nothing in my mind.

You think Randy's Lawyer made up that he called the FBI? Did you even read the whole message?

I think it is important to remember that lawyers are held to a certain standard too. They can't just lie blatantly without the Bar getting involved. Oh, wait...

Actually, it is not only Randy's agent, but also Joe Friedberg of Minneapolis and Richard Sharpstein in Miami who are both attorneys that assisted his agent. Both of these attorneys experienced the same shake-down attempt by Mr. McGill. Does this change your mind?

I think you need to consider the detail and consistency of the delivery of the message from Moss and his attorney. While you can't say for certain that what Randy is claiming is true, in these situations, the side that presents itself as they have tends to be the one telling the truth. It's extremely hard to fabricate a series of events like the ones described in the letter and have them appear consistent and believable throughout. Typically, if there is merit to the claims of an accuser, the defense comes out with more nebulous statements, such as "we'll pursue this matter vigorously" and "we're working hard to bring the truth to light". They don't detail a timeline of events and make claims about contacting the authorities, either of which could be refuted easily with the demonstration of a few key facts. My strong hunch is that this woman is gold digging and Moss is being attacked unfairly.

what are the chances that the media won't give this woman the platform to bring out more "dirt" on Randy? Once extortion charges are filed against this attorney, and this woman never files a lawsuit, will the media allow her to say "Randy smoked weed, had guns, likes porn" etc.? I hope not but hey, it's the media. There is something fundamentally unjust if Randy's career is hurt by the NFL because of whatever this woman says about her and it would open a Pandora's box of people who knew athletes before they were famous coming out of the woodwork to demand money or they'll go public with the dirt. In other words, Goodell better not fine, punish or investigate Randy because of what this woman says about his past.

I can't recall another incident like this where the lawyers have gone back and forth with accusations through the media like they have been doing so soon after the alleged incident occurred. It seems like every time someone gets in trouble, especially athletes, lawyers always decline comment. This has made things so much more interesting. It's so obvious who's lying. McGill has no time to prepare a rebuttal full of even more lies. He also better be careful of what he says from here on out.

BTW, who wants to bet that the FBI or US Marshalls were listening in on the calls between Tim DiPiero and McGill on Monday? I hope they were. This guy has committed career suicide.
