Would you guys rather have your favorite candidate win today's election, obama or mccain, or the patriots win super bowl 43? if could could choose one or the other, what would it be?

I predict a quick move to the Political forum.

In any case, no contest--country over football.

That's actually a tough one for me. I def want to see Obama win this one. Still, I am the guy who recently said he'd make a pact with the devil and trade 10 years off my life for SB 42 to be replayed.

This isn't hard. The candidate. Heck I even rooted for Pittsburgh last night because of a silly superstition about the outcome of the Redskins game and its effect on presidential politics. And I hate the Steelers.

    Hehe, that's funny stuff.

I'll tell ya what, I'll trade the winner of your election for us to win SB43

    It's the least I can do. :D

I'll take the SB because, while I hate the though of Obama winning, the reality to me is the country will go on with or without either one of these guys. And while we all think we can, we can't really predict who will be the more successful President.

I'd sacrifice all three SBs for a different result in the 2000 election.

I don't think the thread needs to be moved. No one is here spouting off about which candidate they support. It's just a simple choice, football or politics, without become divisive.

Given the unpredictability of who you prefer to win the election vs. how they will actually do, I'll go with a super bowl win. I wanted Bush to win in 2000, nuff said. If we're talking about would you rather we dig our way out of this economic crisis or see a Patriots Super Bowl, that one is a no brainer. Super Bowl again.... syke ;)

    You must be a professional.:D

The longer this thread stays on the main forum the more chances of it turning very political. That is based on exit polling.:banned:

I don't know what I might have said in 2000. Everything seemed fine on the political front. I remember thinking 'just how bad could this guy(Bush) be?' and it had been so, so long since the area's last championship. I can't say for certain what I might have said if this thread's proposition involved fixing last February's indignity. Having all of the NFL bow down to the Pats doing something no other team had ever done would have been appealing...

However, right now, today, There's no comparison. Sure its the nation that got itself into this mess and its the nation that'll have to work its way out; but I see this guy as a catalyst for taking the steps necessary to do it.
