I'm sure Fireman Ed would love to come out of retirement.

Only problem, the Jets would have to start winning and be a playoff threat...Enjoy Retirement Fireman Ed!

He should focus on bringing wins out of retirement.

I didn't realized that he quit because of us. That's pretty cool.

I don't blame Reed, I am sure Fireman Ed can cover better than Reed at this point.

Did you SLEEP through last Thanksgiving????? There was a pretty eventful game with the Jets. Lotsa stuff happened on the field and in the stands.

I think it was more about Sanchez. Ed used to wear a Sanchez jersey and Jets fans gave him a lot of crap for it. He was tired of getting harassed in the stadium. So the "classy" Jets fans drove their mascot into retirement.

BTW, this guy is a perfect Jet at this point:

“I’m not playing this game by myself,” he said. “There’s not 53 Ed Reeds or 46 Ed Reeds dressing out on Sunday. That’d be a Super Bowl right there.”

Reed did say he wants to win very badly.

“When we do win I might dump Gatorade on myself,” he joked.

They were talking about Fireman Ed on one of the national shows and how they invited him on a few years ago and he wanted to get paid. They told him they were broadcasting live from a restaurant and would feed him and he said that wouldn't be enough.

What? You're a fan with a stick and now you're so self-important that you can't go on a show without getting paid? What a tool. If this was a Pats fan called Mike the MinuteMan or whatever I'd say the same thing.

Ed Reed knows something about hanging around past retirement.

Fox just had a big skit about the Ryan family Butt Fumble anniversary dinner. Lots of Sanchez jokes.

On a day where Tryptophan is aplenty, you're asking me if I was asleep during the game? ;)

Anyway it's not often the Patriots drive an obnoxious Jets fan from the game, so I'm going to marinate in this newfound knowledge.

    Do you really blame him?
What fee would you charge to don a Jets jersey and wear a silly Jets fireman helmet?

Have a bit of sympathy for the guy, he was raised as a Dolphin fan then forced to cheer for the Jets when he was still a boy.
I give him credit for leaving that cesspool.
