‘The Rock’ rolls out details of Pats’ link to upcoming flick

We have no idea if Tom Brady is aware of this, but Dwayne “The Rock†Johnson reports he will play the beloved quarterback of the New England Patriots in the made-in-Mass. Disney flick “Daddy’s Girl.â€
“I’m embraced by the city,†Rock told the Herald’s Stephen Schaefer at the Cannes Film Festival. “I’m single and on top of the world. And on my doorstep arrives my 8-year-old daughter.â€

Oh, don’t cha just hate when that happens?
But, according to the NFL, the league could flag Johnson for a false start.
“We’re in advanced discussions with Disney,†said NFL spokesguy Brian McCarthy.
Read: The studio doesn’t have permission to use the three-time, Super Bowl-winning team in its movie - yet. The Boston shooting start date is June 19.
However, the team titans at Gillette Stadium are already onboard with the project, said spokesguy Stacey James.
“The stadium, the locker rooms, it’s all being discussed for sometime in the first part of July,†James told the Track. “Now, we’re just waiting for the league to get back to us.â€
While Johnson told Schaefer he’s excited about spending time in the Hub with the fam, his work schedule is going to be grueling.
“I need to be finished by September to promote ‘Gridiron Gang,’ a movie I filmed in Los Angeles,†reported the Rock, who stars as a counselor of young delinquents who gain self-esteem by playing - surprise! - football.
And by the way, Rock does have some real pigskin experience: He and retired New England Patriot back-up QB Doug Flutie were Calgary Stampeders teammates during Mr. Drop-Kick’s stint with the Canadian Football League.

I missed it too... don't know how that was possible... with a thread title like "Girls Talk" it was completely obvious what the thread was about

Frankly I don't know why we even bother with thread titles at all - clearly they are completely unnecessary and need not be anything more than random words that have no relation to the content of the post

It would be cool to have the Pats featured in a film, though the league will probably back out considering it portrays an NFL superstar as an absentee dad. It's a Disney movie so it will probably be sugar-coated and maybe the NFL will give it a break.

Right - I'm all for creating an intriguing thread title to generate interest... but why not give someone an idea of what the thread topic actually is???

I'm probably missing a lot of good posts - others are wasting my time.

"Interesting Read" - if it's not don't post it - and if its not and you're complelled to post it, post it "boring read" so I can avoid it.

If you're smart enough to create a catchy but accurate title - cool, go to it.

If you're not smart enough to do that and think you need to trick people to read your posts, take this advice... don't outsmart yourself .
