DVD Recorders & recording

on a side note - I have a nice 28gig file of the Pats Colts game in HD that I recorded from my cable box via firewire and it's USELESS because apparantly CBS flipped the god damn 5c bit and marked the signal as protected. I hold out slim hope I'll be able to decrypt the thing somehow but it's unlikely

Maybe you could pump the signal into this bad boy and then into your DVD recorder

It takes some tricky, but it might work.

I have a HDTV Tuner card on my PC that I use to record OTA signals. I then cut the commercials out and archive the transport stream. For really good games, I convert the HDTV signal to DVD resolution and burn a DVD.

Step 1 : OTA -> Hard disk (HDTV resolution, 20+ GB per game) -> Archive
Step 2 : HDTV signal -> MPEG2 conversion -> DVD Authoring -> DVD Burner

BTW, I have a request to people who have captured the HDTV signals. I missed weeks 1-3 as I had to be out of the country on business.

I would love to get a copy of the transport streams. Please PM me and we will work out a mechanism of transporting the files.

THANK YOU !

I have DVD's of all the Pats games this year but I have no clue how to make a copy.:confused:

1. Put the DVD in a PC with a DVD Writer.
2. Create a ISO using any software
3. Burn the ISO on to a blank DVD disc.
4. Put it into a compatible DVD player and enjoy !

You can use a software like this one for steps 2 and 3.
