I would think amphetemines would be quite helpful in some cases.

Amphetamines help keep you awake, they don't increase your brainpower. Having pulled some all-nighters to write papers with the help of amphetamines, and then having read some of the crap I wrote for those assignments the next day, I can personally attest to that.

A gallon of Chianti Wine, a Case of Beer and a Banjo would do it for me, the hell with the Chess, lets sing.

Well ... they might want to start with tea bags. I learned that one from a friend in my college days. 1 tea bag in the cheek...every few hours gets you through studying all night real fine without dashing to the bowl all night drinking coffee....less dashes...but still a few.

I used to get coca tea from Peru for just that reason. Herbal mate is great, too, the active ingredient is caffeine but it doesn't make you feel as jittery as coffee or tea.

The only all nighters I pulled in college dealt with busty blondes and kegs of beer.

Tea bags? Dude, if you hung out with me back then we might have tea-bagged you. :D

    yup!

I liked it because I couldn't drink coffee without a few lumps of sugar and cream of course. So with the coffee for me you get the sugar jigh then the sugar downer...the seratonin kicking in from the cream...no good...tea bags was the way to go...and good tunes hijacked from the "King Bisquit Flour Hour" concerts.....of course.
