yes......because all the things that are for our own good need to be done behind closed doors

this happens when proposals can not stand on the merit of its value

That entire backroom deal stuff was doomed to failure ... serious act of desperation that makes less sense now than it did then. An open process may have produced better results ... who knows?

No, I'm not, but it's not surprising that you're confused.

"trying" -- good word choice, though. I can't help it that the OP muddles up a legitimate issue with his own bile.

You have no foundation other than to attack the source you're hollow in thought and hateful in bitterness towards other opinion. How about posting some real opinion from time to time that leaves out the OP.

this is the limit of your mental capacity....to tell others that they are confused all while having no clue of your own......making blind excuses both direct and indirect for the president

unable to communicate the merits of the current situation, you blame the confusion of others

Does anyone understand hearsay????.. a unnamed lobbyist guy says that another guy prepared a memo who was directly involved in the negotiations says what the White House gave up..

No names, and no corraboration of the story..

It may or not be true, this passage means nothing..

Chico, drug companies pose the single biggest threat to the American people of any corp. enterprises that exist (outside military corp's).

They are slimey, back-door deal makers that would love to see as many Americans as possible use their products...there is nothing altruistic about them.

    Big-Pharma sucks...no 2 ways about it.

    LOL

Where's the hate or bitterness toward any opinion? unless you're counting hate and racism as opinion...

I'm sorry that I don't share your hatred for drug companies and recognize that they've saved countless lives.

and real opinion? look in the mirror...

Talk about limited mental capacity, all you can do is make things up. No excuses, direct or indirect, blind or otherwise, were made for the President.

I'm well aware of what has been said in this thread, and what I stated was both a direct response to the OP and indisputably correct (the first part) and hard to dispute (the second).

You're such a hypocrite -- you have a problem with me pointing out the ridiculous in the OP yet your responses to me are pretty much invariably lacking in substance.

where did I say anything about altruism, PR? Seriously -- read what you're responding to.

Drug companies have saved countless lives -- true or false, PR?

As for them posing the second-biggest threat to the American people among industries, honestly, I don't know what that means. What kind of threat do they pose?

I don't doubt they are deal-makers (presumably deals of questionable ethics, otherwise, who cares?), and some may be slimey, but I believe that to exist in every industry. However, I'm loathe to demonize entire companies and entire industries.

well.....since you never add anything of substance, you get what you pay for.

sitting around spouting how everyone you disagree with has no clue, really only says one thing....and its not about anyone else......but your own cluelessness (or maybe you're just that naive) shines through more so than anyone on this board

if big pharma was so awesome, then generics would not need to exist

where do you think the generics would come from if there were no "big pharma"?

Those damned pharmaceutical companies, daring to make a profit. How unAmerican!
