Did it seem like the Pats had a lot of drops last night? I feel like there were probably 3 or 4 definate catches uncharacteristically dropped. I think the drops hurt us a lot last night along with a whole lot of other stuff. Is it the cold weather?

Watson's in the EZ cost 4 points and seemed catchable. Some might have been wind-altered, like Gaffney's.

I would think it might be like catching a knuckleball -- ball loses rotation and stability.

In general, it seems like there have been more drops the past 2 weeks.

The post route to Randy would've undoubtedly been caught for a TD on another (non-windy) night. Randy admitted that his hand position was altered in mid-flight, and I believe him. I think that these passes look decidedly different to the receivers that what we see on HDTV. Every flutter, wobble and sail affects the perception of the receiver. These last-moment decisions resulted in quite a few drops, IMO.

A TON of dropped passes. Maybe worst I remember from the Pats.

Of all people, even Faulk had one. Tough to say how much the wind affected it but safe to say it wouldn't have been that close if we could have hung onto those passes - especially the two in the end zone.
