Draft Simulator

How long does the simulator take before you're up for your first pick? I've been waiting 15 minutes now and not sure if that's the way it's supposed to be or if it's because my office is using Internet Explorer. I'm being forced to actually do my job while waiting for this thing.

We use IE for our internal apps and it wouldn't work for me with the same issue you're having. I switched to Chrome and bang no issues and started right up.

Thanks. I'll have to wait until I get home, then. :(

This is a nice simulator. The 1st round pick is kind of difficult to pick one guy over another and knowing that some of these guys will still be available in the middle of the 2nd reinforces my (initial) thoughts that the Patriots should trade down and pick up an extra 2nd and 3rd rounder if possible.

Time to find a new job

Funny thing is IT has all these issuest that they constantly have to solve and put out email correspondance for when it's fixed and the fix is really simple: use Chrome or Firefox on all company computers. Problem solved.

Here's my first try.

29 DT Ra'Shede Hageman (with Jace Amaro still available, no less)
62 OL Joel Bitonio (all the big name TEs gone at this point, grumble grumble)
93 WR Jared Abbrederis
126 TE Crockett Gilmore
182 CB Phillip Gaines, Rice (6'1")
190 QB Connor Shaw
221 S Sean Parker, Washington

R1 Kyle Fuller CB
R2 Stephon Tuitt DE
R3 Marcus Martin C
R4 Antone Exum CB
R6 Aaron Lynch DE
R6 Brock Vereen S
R7 Dontae Johnson S

This would have me heading for the Tobin. :(

How can we go about making this happen in real life?

Nope. :bricks:

Chrome is the only program I've managed to successfully install at work.

That said, I feel your pain.

I started the sim and noticed Scott Crichton went at #6 overall. That seems...odd.

Anyway, my kind of absurd draft:

I'm seeing a lot of people grab Marcus Martin at 93. Also noticing that there seems to be a sure fire top-20 pick dropping to 29 in just about all simulations.

No offense to your post (and I'm not disagreeing with your general premise) but, if you listen to the draft media and draftniks, there are about 30-35 "sure fire top-20 picks" right now.

I think Martin is the best center in the draft. He's been in both of my mocks thus far and would also draft him in the simulator. A lot of people prefer Richburg, but I like me some Martin.

This is what I cam up with (heavily influenced by the combine ... have to wait a little for the effects to wear off)

29 DT LOUIS NIX III NOTRE DAME
62
OT JOEL BITONIO NEVADA
93 DE MARCUS SMITH LOUISVILLE
126 CB PHILLIP GAINES RICE
182 TE XAVIER GRIMBLE USC
190 RB JERICK MCKINNON GEORGIA SOUTHERN
221 OLB KEVIN PIERRE-LOUIS BOSTON COLLEGE

Thought I would check what other teams drafted out of curiosity. Check the Vikings:

8 QB JOHNNY MANZIEL TEXAS A&M
40 WR MARQISE LEE USC
72 DE TREVOR REILLY UTAH
96 DT KELCY QUARLES SOUTH CAROLINA
104 CB TERRANCE MITCHELL OREGON
136 QB A.J. MCCARRON ALABAMA
168 ILB DEDE LATTIMORE SOUTH FLORIDA
200 CB ANDRE HAL VANDERBILT

Manizel and McCarron drafted by the same team ... to supply Marquise Lee and Cordarelle Patterson ... with none other than Adrian Peterson as the battering ram.

Big playmaker on offense and a completely reloaded front 7:

29 TE ERIC EBRON UNC
62 DE STEPHON TUITT NOTRE DAME
93 DE MARCUS SMITH LOUISVILLE
126 DE KAREEM MARTIN NORTH CAROLINA
182 C RUSSELL BODINE NORTH CAROLINA
190 OLB RON POWELL FLORIDA
221 S JONATHAN DOWLING WESTERN KENTUCKY
