    #11 Jersey

For those of us who think the unprecedented penalty of the 1st round draft pick being taken away was bogus and wonder what could have been next year if we still had our picks.......

Here were the guys taken after pick # 30

31 NYG Kenny Phillips S MIAMI (FLA.)
32 MIA Phillip Merling DE CLEMSON
33 StL Donnie Avery WR HOUSTON
34 Wash Devin Thomas WR MICHIGAN STATE
35 KC Brandon Flowers CB VIRGINIA TECH
36 GB Jordy Nelson WR KANSAS STATE
37 ATL Curtis Lofton ILB OKLAHOMA
38 SEA John Carlson TE NOTRE DAME
39 SF Chilo Rachal OG USC
40 NO Tracy Porter CB INDIANA

I know "what ifs" are for children; but its a long off-season; SO just supposing.... IS THERE ANYBODY FROM THE NEXT 10 PICKS that you would have wanted?

There are 2 CBs, a potential MLB, a TE and an OG in the list.

    Donnie Avery was a steal.

i think Chilo Rachal, Brandon Flowers, Tracy Porter, or John Carlson all could have found a spot on this team

I hate to comment on this cause I really don't like thinking back about those picks that got taken away...... but I would have to say Brandon Flowers.

No offense OP, but this is about as fun an exercise as thinking about the Pats visiting the White House yesterday....

I like Phillips or Flowers from that list. Maybe Porter. Hard to say. Let's see how they turn out.

Next, I'd like you all to think about that one job you really, really wanted and didn't get. Try to imagine how much better your life could be right now if only you'd gotten it!

Tomorrow we'll work on that girl who broke your heart, and how she really was "the one."

Unfortunately, Phillip Merling falling to the Phins did'nt make me feel so hot.

    Well she was!
What does that have to do with a silly speculation thread though.

I would've killed for this team to land Kenny Phillips, a guy who I think could eventually play either safety spot.

I'm thinking about how awesome the parade that never happened would have been.

    Damn you!!!

Actually, if we had #31, we would have been able to slide up for Cason. It may have cost us one of Wheatley, O'Connell, or Crable though. If it cost us Wilhite, that's a wonderful upgrade.

Maybe not. I seem to remember Belichick saying recently that Wheatley was their #2 Cornerback. I'm assuming Cason was #1.
