Dr Z's grades on the draft

Meh........

I kind it both funny and sad that DR Z decided not to give the Pats a draft day grade because they traded for Moss. Just a little bitter are we Dr Z!

For some change is difficult, keep the party line.. never change.

WOW.. Dr.z sure didn't like the Bears, Titans, Broncos, Eagles and Redskins drafts

Notice how he didn't really say anything about Meriweather as a player, and didn't say anything about any of the other player's NE drafted. Sounds like he didn't really care, and just wanted to talk about Moss. For what it's worth MR. Hack himself Mel Kiper jr. gave NE a B.

You can bank on the graders and pundits completely discounting the fact that we used the draft to trade for Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and a 08 1st rounder which will likely end up being 6-15 spots higher than our 07 first.

I still don't get the love affair with the Jets draft. Yea, they got Revis and Harris, but they had to trade away almost their entire draft just for those two players. Their trade for Thomas Jones was a good one, though.

Aso, he gave Miami a B?

Yeah.. he gave Miami a B.. I was stunned at that..... I guess he thinks more highly of Ginn as a receiver than the rest of the world.

Dr Z is a doctor of what?

He gave us an "incomplete". Does that mean we still have draft picks to make?

Dr. Z is an idiot IMHO.

Eh, I agree on the Dillon vs. Moss remark. The next time I see Randy Moss escorting his running back downfield will be the first.

my 2 cents...

he gives the jets credit for the t. jones trade but doesn't include moss or welker in regards to being part of the draft...

I know the draft is about picking players but, none of these guys give any credit for the moves made with draft picks...

We should get credit for:

Welker
Moss
1st 2008
3rd 2008

and the players we actually picked. By the way, i heard from several sources that Philly was going to take Merriwether with the 26th pick. Once we picked him, they traded out of the 1st round!!

The media is also heaping crazy amounts of praise on Indy, while conveniently forgetting that Indy had to give away its 2008 first round pick.

That makes a pretty big difference. (Ignoring the lost pick, I would give them an A-. Including the loss of the pick, I give them a D+.)

It wouldn't shock me if that pick is in the top half of the first round. (My guess is that Indy goes 10-6 and SF gets the 23rd pick in the draft, while SF goes 9-7 and we get the 21st and 32nd picks in the draft.)
