Len Pasquerlli, of Espn had in his collumn that maybee Stallworth would be available thru a trade..I doubt this but would we consider this... Im starting to think this is going to be like the 2001 off season, we wont draft a wr and have more FA pick ups like Torrence Small Charles Johnson types...

Stallworth reminds me of that old Parcells quote: "'Potential' is just another way of saying you haven't done **** yet."

Still, if NO is willing to take a 4th, he'd be worth a flier. His biggest knock is injuries, dont know if he's every played a full season ......

Please, no...

more midget receivers. We need at least 1 receiver over 5'1".

in 4 seasons, Stallworth has played in 13, 11, 16 and 16 games, 8 total games missed overall and none since the 2003 season.

in 2004, Stallworth had 58 receptions for 767 yds a 13.2 avg and 5 TDs

in 2005, Stallworth had 70 receptions for 945 yds a 13.5 avg and 7 TDs

in 232 touches including limited KO returns, rushing attempts and PT punt returns, he has only fumbled 4 times and only lost 2.

He may be coming into his own...

he was the saints number one target last yr
(due to joe horns injury)

and he didnt let any saints fans down at all

i would LOVE to add stallworth

Stallworth + Bethel

These guys are identical physicall and mentally. I'd rather have bethel on the cheap. Donte play only when he wants.

unbelieveable

where do you get this?

Bethel Johnson has 30--THIRTY total receptions in the NFL and a total of 4--FOUR touchdowns.

Donte Stallworth has 195 receptions and 23 TDs.

How on earth can you compare them??

Watched Donte since he was a rookie

Had him in fantasy since rookie & watched multiple games.

He has speed but hammy issues... Last year best year but NO was always throwing from behind and he played for contract. PS had some gator arms too!!!

If Bethel played more he would have the same results

Take it or Leave It.

you've obviously never seen stallworth play

SO FAR from the truth
wow

come on newbies!!!

Deion Branch

2005................78 receptions....998 yds....12.8 average....5 TDs
Career..............213 receptions..2744 yds...12.9 average....14 TDs

Donte Stallworth

2005................70 receptions....945 yds.....13.5 average.....7 TDs
Career..............195 receptions..2791 yds....14.3 average.....23 TDs

same draft class...one has been healthier (Stallworth--8 games missed, Branch 11 games missed)...one has had the best QB in the NFL throwing to him...

Stallworth was also an outspoken contributor to the City of New Orleans following the hurricanes. I would take him for a 4th in a heartbeat.

fungi, lets just hope the pats rookies this coming yr have better success than our boards rookies this offseason

Stallworth has great speed and can be a threat in the vertical pass attack

Have not seen him do what Pats WR do whether Branch or Givens.

Talented yes but Pats system I duuno

As a #2 WR who wouldn't cost too much to trade for and wouldn't blow our WR salary structure out of the water I'd love to get him. His salary is $1.9M for 2006 and less than $600K for 2007 so an average of about $1.25M the next two years.
