The Colts are the team of sportswriters' destiny. They're a good storyline, and if I wrote for a national sports publication I'd be pulling for them too. The casual fan is bored stiff with yet more stories about the smart, efficient, team-oriented, keep-your-head-down, no-bulletin-board material Patriots.
But wait...there is a potentially better storyline than the Colts. A juicy Jacob-and-Esau story, full of crossed allegiances, jealousies, grudges, live wires and loose cannons.
