Artilce makes a lot of sense. Banks will probably be stripped of his media credentials for not sensationizing and being over-emotional.

I'd like to see someone in the media put together a complete cronologue of all the Favre retirement/vacillation/equivocation/unretirement/reretirement sound bites from the past 3 or 4 years. And for good measure, throw in a few of the other gems that came out of his mouth, like "I'm not here to train my successor". What a team guy.

Favre has done some damage to his image. The more this lingers on, the more of an arse he appears to be.

Now the story out of his camp is that he has no plans to seek reinstatement any time soon? Ok, I know it is a bluff, but then why go on with this near month long saga to begin with?

Guys in the media like John Madden and Peter King will always worship at the feet of Brett Favre. But a lot of other media people and fans are going to see Favre in a new light. The whole Lord Favre moniker may be true. Favre may not be that great ole' southern boy who everyone loves and may just be a prima donna who doesn't have a problem with hurting his team that has helped to bring him fame, fortune, records, and a championship ring as long as he gets to start for a team of his choosing this year.

Different article, different thread. It's the hot story in sports, like it or not.

When something happens with the Patriots, I won't care about Favre. Right now, the NFL is Brett Favre. It is the only thing of any significance going on right now.

I guess I can talk about some of the useless Patriots related threads going on right now like whether Brady is going to eaten by a shark while surfing with Giselle. But how is any more relevant to anything in reality to the Patriots' upcoming season really?

I didn't start this thread. Why target me?

Turn on ESPN and the NFL Network. They are Brett Farve all the time now.

And then there are the misunderstood people going after the people that do not realize or care that green bay management could have and should have handled this better due to controversy they ultimately could have avoided - green bay season may be ruined before it even starts.

who will save management and rogers if the miss the playoffs or go one and done?

speaking of rogers - way too much pressure will be put on this kid now - he has done nothing, after two decent years at cal.

    cal totals:

    Totals: 424-665 63.85% completion percetage 43 td's - 18 picks

Exactly! I don't get why people are biatching. What else is going on right now? The biggest Patriots news this week is that Brady went surfing with Giselle. It is so slow that there were even about 50 responses to that thread.

I love the story because I really hate GB, their fans and Favre as well.

Plus, it really helps bury spysomething once and for all.

Honestly, man, if you don't like the subject of the thread then why even come in? Just ignore it and hit up the other threads. You'll find your PatsFans life much more refreshing.

5 Favre threads on the front page. To be fair, one is about the tampering, but still... Peyton Manning must be getting jealous by now.
