He has Jones going at 20, and Hightower at 26 (nearly their original spots).

    Here are the relevant portions:

I liked our first 2 picks just fine and I wouldn't change them. I think that next year those two picks will even look better.

Don Banks wildly overrates Ryan Tannehill.

I thought the Pats were going to take Brockers if he was available last year. I like the picks that they made, though.

I'm happy with the picks they made for sure. Although I still think 1 of our top 3 picks (or an FA like Desmond Bryant) needs to go towards interior pass rushing. Against good offensive lines it's been non-existent since Seymour was traded. Brockers would have been a big help in that area. I'd personally like to see Datone Jones, someone who can rush outside in base and inside in sub packages alongside Armstead (hopefully).

If we can't bring back Talib, I think another pick needs to go towards a press CB. Thought the secondary looked markedly better with just that one addition, and increasing the pressure up the middle will make them look even better, as well as helping out C. Jones and Hightower when they rush.

It's getting tougher and tougher for a fan to filter out the idiots in today's world. It's too bad after a certain point, writers don't really have to work for it once they become successful. They can write whatever they want and just throw it out there and hope it sticks. Would it of hurt to do a little research Don? Of course not, I forgot, your the senior editor.

Pretty much. About the only part of that AFCCG that I actually enjoyed was watching Dennard brutalize Torrey Smith. Too bad we didn't have anybody that could do that to Boldin once Talib hobbled off. :(

I really liked Brockers last year, but felt there was no way he falls to us.

Value wise yeah, but gilmore is going to be the better of the two and posses man to man shutdown skills. Fonzie is just too small framed to man press #1's like CJ and Aj green, thats what Talib was for.

Dennard did a pretty decent job against Andre Johnson in the regular season game when Talib went down.

You are guessing here. Dennard has already taken on Andre Johnson in man and contained him. See the first Houston game. That's a big receiver right there. Also kept Torrey Smith pretty quiet in that last game as well.

I'm not ready to call him all world just yet but he is a lot closer to be being a shutdown corner than Gilmore.

He is not in the same league as Revis but size wise Dennard is 5'10 200 compared to 6' 198. Not a real big difference in size except the 2 inches and of course the skill set.

the game where AJ caught 8 balls for 95 yards..? And t smith isnt a physical reciever he's a speedster with good hands and underrated route running which is the matchup i like for fonzie cuz he's quick to. Im just saying vs the 6 3" receivers its a mis match and 2 inches is a lot in the DB world

I think dennard is a great #2 corner and will be a key part of our secondary, we just need a guy like talib to make it work. Thats why we went back to vanilla and zone after talib went down vs baltimore cuz BB doesn't trust any other corner to play on an island vs physical #1 receivers

Dennard was the best rookie CB. Hosley got more recognition for picks, and Claiborne had a very up and down season. Dennard would be a first rounder in a redo IMO.

Are you saying Dennard will ultimately end up being the best?

Who knows. It remains to be seen how being barely 5'10 (He looked more like 5'9 standing near Ridley) and having 4.53 forty time will affect him vs. deep threat WRs. No team really tested him deep this year. I love Dennard, and think he has the gamespeed of a 4.35 forty and can become a #1 CB, but there is no doubt his height will eventually hurt him.
